i'm not trying to harsh on lubbock, but this is certainly not the first time that a lady has been thinking of heading to the 806 and found it to be a total bust. i can think of at least four ladies right off the top of my head who have said fuck this place.

Yup, I was thinking the same thing earlier when I first saw Spice's post about her frustration with her phone going dead silent

Lubbock is a unique place to hobby. It is a very good market and the local ladies (for the most part) have good business here. Traveling ladies are hit and miss. If you say the wrong thing on the board or if you have the wrong look or if something gets a little off they can disappear into the woodwork.
Not saying it is right and it is certainly not OK to prebook and then not have the good grace to cancel when life gets complicated. Just saying what I've seen happen and have heard from others here. Plus, this is the week that Texas Tech students came back to Lubbock and everything has been hectic. If some of these prebooks were business owners then they may have not been able to get away. Still does not excuse no cancellation notice. On top of that everyone is getting ready for regular school to start and the overall climate here right now is a little off.
Almost every provider who has given Lubbock another chance on a better week/weekend has had better success. A few have not. You have to just take your chances or not. A single day here until you get some repeat requests is usually best when traveling.

I have to agree with CryptKicker. These 2 weeks have been crazy for me. Last week, I hit something on the highway, and damaged gas tank and caught the van on fire. There is $5000 damages on it and I am using rental pickup to get around. I had spent $600 on the engine repairs before that accident happened.
I am paranoid from all the near misses lately around Lubbock. I am either doing work at off-campus housing on cameras or Internet, or hotels with phone issues or WiFi issues this week.
My credit union info got compromised, so I had to get my credit card and debit card replaced today.
Lately, I been having bad luck, and just dealing with it.

Sorry Spice.....give Lubbock another chance. I generally have pretty good luck there.
Midland turned out well while I was there..the first day was slow but it picked up.
The more you tour...the more the gents know you are going to come.

Now I actually have service and can reply. Excuse me if I sounded bitchy. I had over 25 prebooks for this trip and I would never ever make any one pay a deposit as I under stand that life(wife) happens. I just wish guys wouldn't prebook then bail right as it comes down to the wire. It's just a courtesy thing. I work in a very busy hospital and my life gets crazy too so trust me when I say I understand.
That being said. Men are very very quick to throw a woman under the bus for canceling last minute or doing NCNS but it seems most if this trip was last minute cancelations. I wasn't rude to anyone nor would I ever be. Life is crazy. I get that
Just all I can ask is I would rather someone not prebook then if they have time I would be more than happy to see them. But to lead two ladies into foreign territory then cancel kind of sucked and yes I was crabby. It was my birthday and some gents made it seem like it was going to be so much more than it was. I am good at making long posts that sound over emotional truth be told I am a anything but that. As 3 years of reviews all positive go to show. I am fun and spunky in person. I just come off a lot different on the boards.
It is what it is. 20 foot Jesus was in Lubbock so that alone made Lubbock fun
