If you already haven't purchased it, reconsider. Laminate is awful. All it takes is a little liquid and it is ruined. Child spills drink, pet urinates, leaky pipe, air conditioning condensation pan overflowing, you need a new floor.

The latter part is true. But I wouldn't suggest backing out.

But if something is wrong with the flooring, that should be compensated for in the selling price.

I know a lot of people...but nobody to help on this one.

There is nothing you can do with laminate. The finish is the finish. If you put oil on it you will be ice skating.
