The issue isn't simply calling some one an ASS in PM! The issue is greater.

Sensibility dictates that you simply think before your PM/Post or whatever. And RTMing PM's ... if it is insulting or disrespectful that can/should happen. But ignoring someone's advice is up to the individual!

I do not recall ever RTM'ing pm's from XY or ahem any of his handles.

I heard a rumor GP may have sent a warning for RTM pm abuse. But I never read them. should I have read them? naaaaaaa, why waste time, when too busy wasting time as post slut

Its pretty simple really, here is the guideline;


Say whatever you want in PM's, we don't care and won't know about it....until the other party hits the RTM. Then staff has to get involved and make a decision whether it rises to harassment. Looks like in this case, staff thought it did, and his was worse so everyone pays some price.
You get into these stupid elementary school bitchslapping squabbles using our PM system and someone then reports it....something is gonna happen, as you already know. Perhaps you should think about who you are messaging with and what you are saying...and more importantly what they are going to do with it. Simple huh?

I know I know...its much more fun to bitch about the horrible, overbearing, heavy-handed staff here than to accept responsibility for your actions. We get it. Carry on please....I'm sure you will convince someone to change their mind if you complain enough.

That was the question, what folks can do with their pms. Thanks to AJ for the answer. Any of the bozos chiming in that advice was ignored are not of intelligence to understand a timeline where the events happen BEFORE the advice was sought or received.

Good talk, thanks again aj and those that agree name-calling via pm isn't a reason to call the ecciepopo. I'm done with this thread if highway wants some more closure. Maybe I can get that repository honor twice in one weekend.

Here is one that is even simpler, no interpretation required.

#18 - Multiple handles are not permitted, unless in certain circumstances are expressly approved by staff in advance on a case-by-case basis. Action will be taken in cases where staff finds multiple handles are being used for deceptive reasons, to carry out an agenda (promotion or trashing of another), or to return to the board following a previous suspension or ban.
