It is this simple for my short-notice clients(love these guys!) and I now totally prefer short-notice appointments. That's the way this thing is supposed to work.

For some strange reason I have a problem with the clients who pre-book appointments a day or 2 ahead of time. About 75% of the time the appointment never happens and this shit gets old. We agree on a day, time and place. To me this constitutes an appointment. The day of the actual appointment rolls around and I never hear back from them at all. I have blocked off a 2-3 hour window depending on the appointment length, turned down other clients, and gotten myself all ready for nothing. To me this 'I didn't actually confirm the appointment so it really wasn't one' is a crock of shit.

I'm pretty sure If I agreed on a day, time and place to meet with a client and then the day and time of the appointment arrives and he hears nothing from me it would be considered NCNS. I'm also pretty sure he'd be pissed off as well, especially if he had arranged his entire day around being able to get away and meet, all for nothing.

I have more problems when booked more than 1 day in advance. I don't get butt hurt about it. If I book on a Friday for a Monday or Tuesday appointment, any number of the hooker's older relatives could die over the weekend, causing her to cancel for the funeral. Either that or I get bumped for a dude who wants full price multi hours. Whatever. The Latin Agencies can always solve blue balls. As long as the cancellation is at least an hour or two in advance with an apology and offer to reschedule I don't mind.

The one that pissed me off was when I was in the car heading to the appointment 18 minutes before the time that was scheduled days before, I get the text that she couldn't check in to the hotel that early so we have to cancel. Not reschedule, not push it back a bit, just cancel.

This is the first time I have ever started a thread in co-ed and I'm not fishing for clients. That is not my style and the majority of my business comes from sources other than here. The client then replies back and asks if I am available the next day at 6pm and gives the area he wants and incall in. (No, no actual address is given, lol, but the intersection of 2 highways is requested).

Offer.

I reply back and tell the client that I am available at 6pm and can provide incall at Hwy X/Highway Y. I ask him to please confirm or cancel no later than 4pm the next day.

Counter offer. Takes the original offer off the table. No contract.

Also there was no communication each party had consented to all terms.

When he didn't respond promptly that was your first clue things could go wrong.

The question is whether the location without an exact address is a meeting of the minds as to all essential terms? Reasonable minds could differ.

I'd recommend confirming day, time, and place (address) before calling it a date if possible. It avoids uncertainties.

If people would just treat each other with common courtesy and respect (i.e. responding promptly -his fault not yours) this thread wouldn't have even started. But then if that happened all the time most lawyers would be out of a job.
