Default Men are from Mars , Women are from Venus. I thinking you should travel to Uranus.

Has serious potential!

I have responsibilities on earth for now that preclude my departure; but once those responsibilities are fulfilled -- I'm game!

Not a chance. Have you seen the quarters they live in while traveling through space? A tin can fit for sardines. Furthermore, you get there - and it's basically an ancient lump of rock and dust.

Abandon flowing rivers, and sleepy lakes, bird songs, summer breezes, a lover's kiss, a child's laughter, a friends embrace, my dog's endless joy, the soft grass under my feet, ancient works of engineering and artistic genius, the food and celebration of all the cultures, the beautiful delicacy of butterflies and the stunning and strange life in our waters - for an ancient rock where I can't breathe?

No thank you. So many extraordinary wonders on this planet - endless ones. Far more fascinating, life affirming and reverence inducing than Mars.

I am endlessly fascinated by astronomy, even more so by the discovery of the new Goldilocks planet, but from a scientific perspective, I value them as clues to the History of the Universe, and find the information they can reveal about the rules of the universe fascinating. Visit one? Pass.

However, I would love to see earth from space, both in the day time and at night.

A compelling rationale! If all you have is a hammer, then everything looks like a nail.

Move to Canada, we don't have the same culture of competition and they don't hunt you down like criminals for wanting to get laid

Deal! However, I think if you are taking a life altering experience it should be free of charge. The risk should be payment enough.

Price is no object in areas where the chest thumpers want to claim to be "the best in the world" at something.

Helps 'em feel good about themselves.

We don't hate government...

The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government." - Patrick Henry

Government is not reason; it is not eloquence. It is force. And force, like fire, is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. - George Washington

When the government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. - Thomas Jefferson

Dictatorship naturally arises out of democracy, and the most aggravated form of tyranny and slavery out of the most extreme liberty. - Plato

Republics decline into democracies and democracies degenerate into despotisms. - Aristotle

The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people (liberals) with their own money. - Alexis de Tocqueville

DFWSTraveler seems not to understand that concept.

He hates government spending unless they are spending it on things he wants them to. Then by golly for justification he channels the founding fathers and says its what they wanted!

I see no reason why he would want to go into space when he can so easily fly back into our past and figure out what dead people wanted!

Since the original intent of this thread has been hijacked by the personal animous of a leftist, I would suggest that you head to your local library and get a fu*king clue. BTW since when were Plato and Aristotle founding fathers? However, keep up the stupid comments and you will be assured that no one will ever take you seriously. Have a nice day...
