There's a wonderful quote by Oscar Wilde that I've adopted into a personal maxim, of sorts:
"That is one of the great secrets of life - to cure the soul by means of the senses, and the senses by means of the soul."
Whenever I'm in the middle of an overblown, depressive, existential crisis there are precious few things that can cheer me up. One of them being a night of absolute bliss with the physical embodiment of feminine, sexual lust.
And conversely, when I've stumbled off the hedonistic deep end I find myself engaging in meditation, reading, hiking in the outdoors, etc. Essentially curing my overloaded senses with activities that I find spiritually enriching.
Don't forget, it's all about balance. Hopefully your rut will be short-lived, my friend.

My eccie contacts have been quite interesting, but so far not game changing. I guess that's one of the reasons I joined. I'm interested to hear from others. Any "game changing" experiences?
