I only have sinus issues two or three times a year, and Alka Seltzer Cold Plus (old school fizzing tablets) clears me right up. Who knows, it may not be powerful enough for you regular sinus suffering veterans, or is it a product you have overlooked? Be warned, it may make you drowsy.

The key is to get a good night sleep, 8 hours minimum, and a good breakfast in the morning.

So, get a good BBBJ at night and go get some DATY in the morning.

I have horrible nerd allergies(extremely severe allergic to ragweed and pollen) I too use the Netipot a few times a week and I live and die by Alavert and Rubi-con eye drops. It works pretty good for me.

I used Claritin for years but noticed that my body had built up a tolerance. Sudafed makes me drowsy, so I tried Tylenol Allergy and Muti-symptom. (Thumbs up)

Not only did it clear me up within an hour, but my energy level was the same as any other great day!

I have never tried the nasal spray, kinda freaks me out to spray something in my nose. *giggle*

It has been really dry as of late. I went and bought one of those steam vaporizers and I run it all the time when I am home. It seems to be helping me.

in order of price, I have used with great success:

NeilMed sinus rinse from CVS (certainly the best rinse you can get, I've tried them all).
Tylenol sinus tablets
Angioplasti sinus surgery (very new, but worked great for a couple of years)
I was never sick a day until I moved to this town. I am allergic to nothing but the air in this burg. It's probably not a good idea to live in a town where you can actually see what you're breathing.

I feel for you, I've been suffering for fifteen years, and it took me four years to figure out what the problem was.

Went to the ENT doc today. He gave me a script for Fluticosone nasal spray and Prednisone oral meds. He also told me to get some Zyrtec-D. Hopefully, this will help.

I think the only thing I haven't tried is the nasal spray. If you over do them, your nose will never stop dripping (that's what I've read about the sprays anyway) The Zyrtec-d is similar to what my EMT put me on, except for the separation of the two for a more powerful result. I'm going to try Claritin in place of my Zyrtec, because sometimes doctors make prescriptions based on perks. I know, it's a forbidden topic, but very true. That's why pharmaceutical reps can no longer offer anything to their clients, imagine that.

I use Claritin D12 at night and use a netil pot when I start feeling the sting and itch in my sinuses.
Seems to work for me.

However, my doctor told me that he doesn't like to prescribe Claritin to men over 40 because it may be linked to prostrate problems. (Pre OTC days)
And I know overuse can cause constipation.
Come to think of it, it may be time for me to switch over to Zyrtec for a while!
Use to reallly like Alegra D, but he won't prescribe that due to high blood pressure.

Yeah, I've got some Zyrtec already. I don't have the Zyrtec-D though. I wish I would have known that before I bought the regular one. Zyrtec is not cheap and it's even more expensive for the Zyrtec-D.

Speaking as a physician, you should be on a nasal steroid as well (Nasonex or similar). Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra are all the same (Selective Histamine blockers), and benadryl does the same thing as those except it also makes you sleepy (non selective histamine blocker). Allergy shots may help too--see an allergist not just an ENT. Oral steroids or an intramuscular steroid shot will help for acute on chronic flares. Gotta love houston weather.
