How about a meet and greet at a haunted house?

Allie, there are several places that are cool. The bridge up north is my favorite. Bring Marilyn. There are ghosts everywhere, and there are usually a few hanging out at my business. I haven't run across any with malevolent intent yet.

Most of the ones I come across are simply passing through, and have an idea what they're doing. The ones that haunt are generally confused, and some aren't even aware they are dead. This is why they can be scary.

Over the next couple years, expect ghost sightings and experiences to increase. This is because of the dimensional shift we're experiencing in preparation for 2012. It's going to be fun.

And yes, I'm serious. And no, I am not changing my name to "CrazyOldGuy."

I have had some experiences in my life that have made me give belief in Ghosts strong consideration, I am still not completely convinced, but..................

When I was in college right out of high school I worked at a security guard in a couple of the old buildings downtown which were being remodeled, the Muelbach being one of them. I was working one evening and there were some security cameras I was watching, one was in a room about 40 feet from the security desk. There was only one door in and out of the room and it was right in front of me. I was looking at the camera and I saw this old guy in the room standing by an old desk. He was wearing a dark blue or black suit and white shirt and red tie. I remember this clear as day. I went to the room to see what he was doing in there and how he got in there and there was no one there. I went back to the camera and he was gone, I searched the room to see if there was any possible way in there, no windows, no other doors and a solid ceiling, this was built before suspended ceilings. There was not other way out of that room. I spoke to some of the other guards and they told me that they hear noise in the room all the time they are just used to it and for me to ignore it. I have many other storys like this, from different places so you tell me..........

COG, I hadn't heard about that. It's an interesting theory.
DD, that sounds creepy!
I don't have any ghost stories of my own but I love hearing them.

Crap, wish I'd seen this before Halloween. Fort Leavenworth does a haunted house tour every year. Several of those old residences are occupied, including the original fire station on post.

The USS Guam was the ship that recovered the bodies of the Challenger astronauts along with pieces of the shuttle itself. They were kept on the reefer deck up forward. Sometimes people reported seeing strange things near the area. I didn't see any astronauts but I did hear footsteps where no one else was around. I could hear someone walking about above me but no one was there. The deck was steel grating so everything was visible.
The USS Intrepid in New York City is supposed to host to dozens of ghosts if not hundreds.

Atchison Kansas claims to be the most haunted city in the US.

In my house the previous owner commited suicide. Haunted, can't say for sure, but things have happened that I can't explain. Never felt afraid or bad vibes though.

A guy I worked with bought an old house that predated the Civil War. He started noticing that the front door would open every day for some reason, followed by the back door opening. One day he told me that he was almost asleep in a chair one day. He was in the area of not awake and not asleep. He heard the door open and a man came into the room. He was bearded and wearing tattered grey clothes. The man ran through the house and out the back door. The county historian filled him in on the history; a Confederate officer had fled through the house attempting to avoid some Union soldiers. He was caught in the back yard and hung by the damned Yankees.
