Maxeen...and others thank you for your words...and the PM's were/are great

Seriously..who voted you as our spokesmen?
Most of us Work crazy schedules and dont have time to be on here
24/7 like some of you "vocal" members..

Now the Board is left with an us vs them feeling..and i want no part of it.

If you want to scare away tried and true providers...go right ahead...
but let it be known that you DO not speak for us the silent majority.
If you want LOW rates feel free to visit the street scene...or whatever else floats your boat..

My experience....if you frequent a provider..show her that your a good/honest/trustworthy regular...you can get an "adjusted" rate

Im sick of the one or two members here...creating drama daily with their posts....
and i call on anyone who agrees with this to post here...

This hobby works best when it's based on honesty, safty, respect and integrity.
Seems to me that the only one claiming to be a spokesman is you.

Agreed. A little drama is inevitable/fun but it really is getting to the point where it is keeping the function of the board (hobbyists/providers talking in a friendly, social environment) from taking place.

I don't think anyone needs to get banned/moderators dethroned/etc. Just that those of us not terribly fond of the toxic environment speak up.

There also doesn't seem to be an easily accessible "ignore user" function which may do wonders for having the warring parties back off from the shouting a bit.

Thanks for posting this. I have become quite discouraged by the way "Shouts" and his 15 or so member Attack Pack has taken over the local group with their ceaseless complaining and misogynism. It appears that a lot people have ceased to post outside of reviews and ads because the Pack will always attack. I have 15 of them on Ignore. I'd recommend that as the best policy, no one is ever going to argue these guys into being reasonable. I notice about a third of the 15 seem to have stopped posting. Maybe even inside the Pack the constant baying grates on nerves.

Male human beings seem to have a very strong predisposition to want to chose up sides and fight. About what isn't that important, it is the male solidarity of the group fighting that seems to be the draw. There is no possibility of giving them what they want since what they want is to have the warm fuzzy feeling of being part of a group: the Men Who Complain about Women, Constantly and Bitterly.

"My experience....if you frequent a provider..show her that your a good/honest/trustworthy regular...you can get an "adjusted" rate "

I would agree with that. Building a relationship with some of the many fine ladies who can be contacted through this site has many potential benefits; physical, emotional and financial. Yes it is a business relationship or at least a business-based relationship but somehow a business where one works naked makes for a little bit of difference from all the others I know. You do have to actually like women though, which seems to be the big obstacle for the Attack Packers. Quietly let them go their noisy way. You can't save everyone.

I've been on the sidelines for a long time. I've head good and bad things on this board. Know one is speaking for me here, but me. I will agree a lot of the same people are stirring up the pot and i do not want to get into a peeing war. Know one wins. I've talked to a lot of providers in Austin and they all said, they do not like getting on the boards any more. It's not worth it, it;s not fun anymore. I do not know all the history of the old board and this board. All i know is it used to be more fun here!!! I use the board to find the ladys i like and write some reviews to give back what has been given to me.
I do know this has been one of the best year of my life. Thank you ladys!!!!!Everything else is just noise.

On a lot of vBulletin boards it's available from the username pulldown. Not sure why it isn't here. Of course it would also have to be used to be effective.

Alright, this is the last time I'll say this, and then I'll take my own advice:

There's no need to "stand up" for anything or anyone.

Clearly, it takes a conscious decision to open up a drama thread and read all the way through it. So, in effect, by actually reading it, you are making one (or both) of two decisions:

1. You love drama and want to participate in it.
2. You love being entertained and this drama entertains you.

If you don't fall into either of those two categories, then you simply would not open the thread, would close it if you accidentally opened once you realized what it was, or would not get distracted from your original non-drama-related goal of coming to this site.

I happen to like Whispers - I'm also a secret trashy reality TV watcher (Jersey Shore FTMFW) - and it's pretty much the same effect to me as watching JS. ALL of the posts here in Coed, IMO, are entertainment - I don't come here for informational purposes at all.

So while I agree or disagree with most of what he says, at the end of the day, it all rolls off my back just like all the beads of sweat if someone cruelly forces me to walk up a flight of stairs.

Bottom line: If you didn't want drama, you wouldn't post. You wouldn't start ANOTHER drama thread (I've got 5 of them open right now that have posts in them since last night, btw). You wouldn't really give a shit.

Think about that, guys and girls.

Normally, I agree (which, again, is why I have been mostly quiet in all this mess), but when the number of people (mostly ladies) who say they are intimidated from participating on the board due to the general hostility reaches the number it has, then it's worthwhile to try to toss a wrench in the gears.

Smart -

Best. Post. Ever.

Co-Ed is for entertainment and fun. I just wish all the entertainment wasn't nit-picking debate and dissection of each other's posts. I like a good train wreck as much as anybody but after a while it's just boring and kinda becomes a parody of itself. Too much Jersey Shore and not enough Simpsons. And, yes, I know... If I don't like it I can change the channel.

Click.

Two clicks instead of four would be twice as easy, sure.

I'm not sure if I'm considered part of the "Attack Pack" or not. There are things I agree with the "vocal majority" here with, and there are things I disagree about.

That said, go back and read the thread you are most likely talking about. There were many guys who chimed in and said they would see more local providers for xxxx reasons. There was some talk of business logic, what strategies worked for their own business. Nobody claimed to represent all or even a majority of hobbyist until this thread. While I agree that there is a great silent majority, your claim that you represent that silent majority is the most presumptuous one I've seen to date. Some of that silent population may or may not agree with Whispers or whoever you disagree with.

So without making claims of representing anyone but myself, I would just like to see those silent ones speak up and throw their 2 pennies so that we can get a greater consensus of what the opinions of greater number of people are.

Funny story, after all that about the vocal minority over-representing themselves, you snuck in the tidbit:

Seems to me you value and repeat seeing a local lady at a lowered rate as well, just go about it in a different way. Good for you.

"Beware Hark! Minefield ahead! "

My old Chief Petty Officer once told me " Opinions are alike assholes. Everyone has one and most of them stink."

However, my opinions are wonderful and represent the honest truth. If only people would listen to me they would finally get it right!

OK.. trying to remember what I was going to say.

Yeah.. here it is.

Charge what you want. Screw who you want. BBBJ or CBJ whatever you want to do.
Incall vs Outcall. South vs. North. Dallas vs Austin.
Really NO ONE CARES.

BUT if you get on this funny little forum and ask for opinions ,, you will get them.

And most of them will stink.
