Yeah, it's really not funny at all. Thankfully I have never been the victim of an April fools day joke in this industry, but I went to court this morning to support a young lady and someone pulled the fire alarm and made everyone leave the court house, she was already upset about being there and having to wait out in the parking lot for almost an hour just about sent her into a full blown panic attack.
Then another lady comes to my office this afternoon and says she found a "free, running" car on craigslist and wanted to know if I would take her to pick it up.
So I tell her let me check it out and ask for the address he gave her and a link to the CL ad, so I text the person who placed the ad acting as if I was interested and he replies saying it is still available and I can come and get it right now (exactly what he told her) and gives me another address north of Conroe, different then the "Webster" address, he gave her.
It was heartbreaking to have to tell her it was scam. She actually started crying. This is a lady who lives in a shelter with no money, job or family and a car would of changed her life. I hope that fucking jerk gets all the karma he deserves. April fools day jokes aren't funny when they hurt someone or bring someone down.
I'm still fuming MAD!
