It could have just been a really cool cop in Plano. They do exist!

Sounds like a cool cop, but $26 a month is pretty steep.

Legal Shield V PrePaid Legal
Sadly I must call B.S. on this one.
I saw the OP YEARS ago while she was under another name--operating out of a nice community in N Dallas. Massage table and service--talked alot about her S.O. and her involvement in PrePaid Legal. I could buy through her if I wanted to--sounds like she's rounding up clients here as well.
Not a bad service--like having AAA if you have a beater. IF you're gonna drink and drive-and can't afford an attorney on retainer-probably not a bad idea. BUT transparency up front from the OP would be just as appreciated when the alleged stop likely didn't occur.

My ECCIE Reviews

Well, there are some MLM companies out there that do not require participation in their downline in order to purchase their product. That doesn't mean the person you buy it from isn't going to get her initial sales commision...and her upline getting their % for each sale/monthly payment as well.
A couple of things to take note of:
1. You can hire a lawyer to write a letter like you just mentioned (to your apartment complex) for a very small fee. Probably for less than two months worth of payments). Or if it's a lawyer you have used before - say to help with a speeding ticket or such (again, probably the had cost what 2 months of your card costs), they may do it as a service for you or for free.
2. Many employers offer a form of legal services in their benefits, and they are not connected (meaning, they do not report your specific claim to your job). It's part of your benefits. Use it if you need it.
3. For what you are paying on the card, might as well save your money and just pay a retainer on a lawyer you KNOW is good, instead of one that is assigned to you. Or maybe that's just me.
4. Just a suggestion on sly attempts at posting your alternate biz while "telling a story":
Try using a program or Internet browser that will catch most if not all of your spelling and grammar errors...it makes a difference on your selling points. (of course we all make mistakes-sometimes we have smartphones that are not so smart...lol)
Good Luck
***Btw- your post title is a bit misleading. I thought I was going to read about a hooker/John/LE bust.
Glad it wasn't.

I'd rather just tell them "I have Shyster Jon's wallet"

Really appreciate the info and advice.
I've had my share of asshole cops, beleive me. And...actually have had my share of the coolest cops ever too as well.
I bow down to those awsome cool cops.
Although it IS a crap shoot when you get stopped.....especially after drinking.
I've been fighting a court battle for over 1.5 years. Arrested for DWI.....but my attorney says the cop had no reason to stop me, nor was there any indication I was drunk.
The cop was bored at 1:15am.....and I was the first car that passed by him in a "not so exciting" area. THAT is why he stopped me.
Refused to take the breathalizer, which pissed off mr police officer, and he became verbally abusive, which proved it was basically revenge for him to arrest me.
I passed the sobriety test in the eyes of my attorney.....but that asshole he still arrested me.
He still could have arrested me for "failure to cooperate", but I would not be facing this freekin DWI.
Now I know.....I should NOT have agreed to take the damn sobriety test. Everyone HAS THE RIGHT to refuse if you have no prior convictions. ALSO...be careful what you say!!! The fact that I answered his question of "drinking", I admitted I had two glasses of wine. THAT....was a big mistake.
Funny note....I squiggled out of the handcuffs in the squad car and very daintily put my hands on his headreast. OMG...this sent him into a rage! LOL....but truly, it was not an easy overnight stay.....I assure you.
I have dreams of hiring a hit man and will NEVER forget this officer's name as long as I live.
YES.....a DWI will fuck up your life. I have not yet been proven guilty.....and have been through 2 judges on this case. I hope to put this to an end soon. I have NOT been convicted yet......but it has placed a HUGE financial and eomotional burden in my life.
Thanks for the info Pheonix Dawn.....I will look up this service for sure.
It DID help that I have several attorney friends, and through conversations prior to the event.....they gave some good advice beforehand (hence the no breathalizer).
Hugs,
Torre

What a crock!!!!! Yeah, the police tremble at the thought of facing one of the "crack" lawyers provided courtesy of the LegalShield card! Those cards entitle you to mediocre legal services.

LOL @ thinking whipping out that card did ANY good. Getting pulled out of the car after drinking all night, at 2:30am and actually consenting to the HGN test is the absolute dumbest thing he could have done.

That was about as dumbass move as you could make. You are lucky he didn't shoot you and if I was on the jury and someone escapes restraints they are threatening the officer and he might be well within his rights to use deadly force. You must have been fucked up badly!

I love the fact that suspected drunk drivers can refuse the breathalyzer. It makes me feel so safe to be on the roads.
