It's not unbelievable or even unlikely that some provider or some hobbyist with AIDS would knowingly attempt to infect other people. This kind of naivete is dangerous to the community of hobbyists and providers. Assume the worst and choose your BCD activities accordingly because your life may very well depend upon it.

*sigh* Re-read the part of my post you quoted. Although I differ with you about how likely it is, I said it was possible. My point is that, if someone wants to take out a lot of other people by infecting them through unprotected sex,
why on earth would they tell everyone they're HIV+??? It kind of defeats the whole purpose, doesn't it? If you want to infect a lot of people, you keep it secret. You don't blab about it on a board and you don't confide in someone who will then blab about it either.
Sure, take normal precautions -- don't bareback. But if you spread rumors such as the OP mentioned, well, you can spin out a theory based on a combination of things that individually are unlikely. (She has HIV, she wants to "take out" a lot of people, she was stupid enough to tell people of her plans, she carelessly left her lab results somewhere a visitor to her incall could find them, etc., etc.) But the troll/agenda/malicious rumor explanation is at least a million times as likely. Particularly in this community. If you want to take normal precautions, or even choose not to see someone you suspect has HIV, fine. But that's different from passing along the rumor, and destroying that person's life if you're wrong. And that's what the OP asked about.
There's a reason for the board rule posted above.
