They are referring, Admiral, in the general sense, to whomever leaked the information from the Men's Lounge, if such leak occurred. No one knows for certain WHY Jane was banned except Jane and the board owner, admins and mods - oh, and the gentleman or gentlemen that may have leaked the details of the thread that has been confirmed in public to exist in ROS. If any of those parties to the sanction choose to confirm the fact that there was a leak of private information, that is solely up to them.

The rules are here for a reason, many of which I have touched on in a previous posting. However, one of the greatest assets of an active board is that when a member violates a confidence "on board" you can be certain that they will cross many more lines IRL. To think otherwise, is complete folly.

When an indiscretion leads to a sanction here, it isn't taken lightly, nor is a sanction handed down lightly - as such actions can truly make a profound impact upon a lady's business, or prevent a gentleman from enjoying the endeavor.

Obviously, something occurred that was serious enough to lead to a very serious sanction. I have no doubt the action was not taken whimsically, nor do I feel that it will be an isolated incident. usually, there's more to come. However, my speculation is immaterial to fact, and they (the facts) always come out in the end. Generally, the sanctioned party ultimately desires redemption back into the good graces of the board, enough so that they realize that providing the board with the details of whom they may have been given ROS information from (if that is truly what happened in this instance) is important to protect the confidence of the board as a whole, and subsequently, the other member(s), if they exist in this instance, that were party to the action causing the sanction, will generally suffer the same, or worse.

Thank you for this explanation, Jackie! After reading Mr. O's and Ms. E's posts, I thought for certain that each of these individuals had a particular White Knight in mind! I'm glad to read that they were simply speculating over facts known only to the moderator and Ms. Jane.

And, if I may, I'd like to add that I find your explanations of the workings of this board particularly insightful.

If anything has been hammered home in the threads I've read this week, it is that material marked PRIVATE, material contained in a ROS, or material contained in the Men's Lounge cannot be shared with a provider. It may not be shared publicly, nor by PM or phone. Sorry.
