The purpose of calling for a bail that is higher is to reduce the amount of money a person would have for their defense. Prosecutors know this.
What difference does it make since he has posted bail, has a gps monitor, has surrendered his passport, and is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
I would say it is an attempt to punish the defendant without a trial.

This is very strange behavior by what is supposed to be a Professional News Network.

I would hope th special prsecutor would have used the official tapes; to do anything else would be irresponsible or wrse.

Any news organization that intentionally edits to change the meaning should be severely fined at a minimum, prosecuted at worst. It would be nice if in extreme cases they could ne charged with evidence tampering but that wouldlikely not stick.

I would love to see political "experts" who also intentionally misquote b subject to penalties, but I doubt I'll live long enough to see that.
