I think that given the combination of average age of hobbyist and the most common reason why they hobby (not getting TLC from the SO), it's not that surprising that the GFE/making love experience is preferable.

There are two things I'm going to take away from this enlightening discussion. (1) The comment of chateau_becot reminding us that this is all an illusion. When the provider hugs you good bye, it's over. First thing she does after you walk out the door is check her messages. If I ever get caught hobbying (perish the thought), I would try to convince my SO that the providers were not a threat to the marriage.
