I haven't had too many problems with getting references at all.
My list will sound redundant, but Betzi and Wicked Heather have to be the fastest, sharpest, and down right friendly with their references. Gold stars to those ladies! Stars to all the ladies that DO help keep their sisters safe.

As long as the call comes between 10 & 4pm (and I'm working that day). And they have to have seen me within the last 3 months. You can always count on me to help you out with anything I remember. I can at least tell you if they are on my "Do Not See" list.

This actually did happy quite recently and the lady was able to handle his bad behavior quite well because of the warning!!! Let's continue to look out for each other.

Thanks for the list and thanks to those listed in the thread for your help in vouching for us.
I see that four ladies were kind enough to make a list - Sophia, Brittany, Roxanne, and Jen. Two providers were named on each of those four lists. They were Betzi and VictoriaLyn (Vikki). Kudos to both of you.
And to all of the lurkers and newbies out there, consider this thread as part of your homework in this continuing game of "what do I do to join the party?"

Way to go, Sophia! A positive spin rather than outing those who aren't regular participants on the board (which if you guys do your homework is a large number of the gals who consistently fail to respond to ref requests). There are some exceptions, but if all you see is an ad & no posts, that may mean the lady also has limited access/time for computer usage. Some are just blatant in their disregard of requests, and frustrating when the only one listed. Anyway, I'll add mine here:

Betzi (People, I'm here to tell ya', she's doing SOMETHING RIGHT cuz almost every guy has seen her! Professional attitude, easy-going, and usually has some info to help you make the most out of your visit. I try to do that, too. Just doing what we can to make everyone's experience the best it can be!)

I wonder if any of you have gotten a call from someone claiming to be a provider seeking a confirmation that a particular guy had visited you, and it was really a wife's private investigator.

I have no problem giving confirmations that an appointment happened, or that a particular guy has been a customer, but ONLY if we hear from that guy FIRST, and he has verified that he is requesting the confirmation.

I come from New York, where "screening" practices are very different than in Austin. Where I'm from the idea of a total stranger calling and seeking a confirmation that someone has been a customer is laughable. It would never happen, and that's because we're used to maintaining the confidentiality of clients STRICTLY. This is perhaps because there are so many celebrities and powerful people there as opposed to Austin. Additionally pretty much every married man in New York is a customer of someone, as opposed to more evangelical bible belt Texas. But I think everyone is entitled to their confidentiality having preimenence in their provider's mind rather than the provider's emotional suspicions that a new customer might be a predator or some other threat.

And that's a whole 'nother topic...security practices here as opposed to there.

I consider that using past good experiences as a predictor of what a client may do is silly, and using memberships as a reliable test is even sillier.

I know plenty of providers, some here in Austin, who have been lured into hostile counties and then been arrested for showing up at calls made by police who had P411 memberships and so forth. Those kinds of memberships are very easily obtained by anyone.

As far as predators are concerned; they are very clever, and have no problem obtaining several provider references by being good little boys two or three times to obtain them, only to un-mask themselves as a monster on a subsequent call.

The fact is none of those methods will ensure security. There are others methods that can however.

Actually I think there is a reliable means of deterring bad behavoir. If I were an indie and I was unsure about a new guy I would have a girlfriend in the incall with me, in the living room or other bedroom, but introduce the new guy to her so he knows she's somewhere in the incall. There's no better way to deter bad behavoir than if the guy knows there's a witness or potential helper somewhere, and another girl in a different room of the incall should not bother the client. I think that's a better way for girls to help each other out than passing around references.

I check out the lady asking for the reference before giving ANY info out! If she's UTR or doesn't contact me via PM, or the address she markets with "sorry, I don't know what your talking about!"

i have been in the P4P game for 16 years and i would not want anyone else at the incall unless its a doubles session. to me, another girl there means she might be waiting on her "date" to arrive and i would feel rushed personally. i also think the comfort level would depend too on what you are paying. anything above 250 an hour, i dont want anyone else there but the provider and I
