Plug it in to your computer for the backup.... Last fucking update to 7 something I got the cracked apple....

I have not and will not update to the latest, even with all of the prompting.

After the cracked apple, I took it to the apple store.. They told me I was SOL, ( 10 years worth of contacts gone and pictures) but my last sync with iTunes saved everything, so after it was reset... I thought what the fuck... Plugged it into the computer and it synced back up... And my contacts and even emails reappeared ...

That was a one week ordeal.

Before doing any software update, wait for a month or so to see if there are issues with it. If your phone is working fine, no need to be in a hurry to update it.

I sure hope you were able to save those voicemails.

You might try going to an Apple Store to see if you can get them back.

Search youtube for ios8 password hack, there are two that show how you can get in if Siri is set up in a specific way on your phone. Basically if you do the hey siri and ask a question then before it can reply try to slide over into the apps. Apparently a flaw in their security lets you in to your apps without a password.

Other means is to go to apple and sign in, I think they required an email address. If you don't recall which one you used try all the old ones you can remember. Select the I forgot my password option. They will send a link to reset it and you can then try to get in via your apple password.

Hope you are able to recover what you need. I know what it is like to loose items like that. Lost a hard drive that I didn't have backed up. Now back up things a lot better than I did after that happened.

i wish i would have seen this siri comment earlier.
i ended up having to do a hard reset. I lost over 1400 contacts
8,000 pictures 200+ videos and all my voicemail. it fucking sucks
and yes i will be backing up my stuff from now on. even my google stopped syncing at a certain point so i was only able to recover 200 or so numbers. im done with apple. other than battery life, that phone sucked little balls
