Biles is a great gymnast and has her past record to prove it. I applaud her for her great wins in Rio in the last olympics, however due to her lack off efforts in the past week, I can't consider her to be the GOAT.

Please explain russ38, which occupations put you in danger of breaking your neck at every move? Which occupations require 100% concentration?

Simone Biles is a black entertainer, and we pay her to entertain, how dare she have a personal opinion and fail to perform like a circus animal?

With great bravery, she went on to win bronze medal on balance beam. Avoided any twists because she can't do those any more (they are more vital for other apparatus).

She has of course been training and using foam pit to avoid serious injury.

The American gymnast has received many plaudits for overcoming her demons (and “the twisties”) to take bronze in the women’s individual beam today. Sadly, the real inspiration behind her triumph, the wind beneath her wings, does not seem to have been acknowledged and has been balling his fists, stamping his feet and crying accordingly.

“Of course, I was abused, vilified and shamed for having an opinion that differed from the weak, woke Twitter mob,” wrote a desperate, attention-seeking Daily Mail columnist last spotted scuttling out of a studio in a hissy-fit because he’d been taken to task over his strange obsession with the mental health issues of a different women by a weatherman. “That was to be expected as they despise the whole idea of mental strength. To them, only weakness and victimhood can be celebrated.”

The columnist in question had recently described Simone Biles – an almost supernatural winner of 33 different world and Olympic medals – as a quitter who had let down her team-mates, her fans and her country, after she withdrew from a competition in which she could have suffered serious, potentially life-threatening or life-changing injuries by participating in it without feeling quite up to the task. To be clear, though ... he wasn’t necessarily being criticial.

“I said what I said from a place of tough love,” he wrote. “To counter all the absurdly over-the-top proclamations of heroism raining down on Biles’ head, and I ended the column with this plea: ‘Get back out there Simone, and don’t get sucked into all the weak woke failure-loving Twitter nonsense - you’re too great a champion to be labelled a quitter.’ Today, six days later, Biles did exactly what I implored her to do and competed in the Beam, winning a bronze medal.”

It’s almost as if he honestly believes his pep-talk was the deciding factor.

I used to think you were an OK guy until I see the mature manner (sarcasm) you handled yourself when we dare speak negatively about queen Biles. You might want to take your panties and untwist them, because like queen Biles, you obviously have the twisties.

So from my viewpoint, let me mention again my feelings about queen Biles.

Yes, she is a great gymnast. Yes, she has won many medals.

Because of her actions this past week, no, she is not the greatest of all time.

After she quit she should have been sent home immediately at her cost! She won a bronze medal. woo hoo. She prolly took someones spot who deserved to be there!
