Lol lol lol... I'll keep my political views out of here, but if it wasn't for the girl posting it on the other board, I wouldn't have seen it either.

I'm guessing everyone knows about iMessage and how if you have it turned on it will send your messages to every device on that account, including the iPad your SO is looking at right now?

Who uses iMessage for hobby communications? Surely no one with an SO.

Dang! That's some crazy nonsense! Do you just have to sign out of your gmail? Or how do you block this? If I have gmail on my phone under my settings on the iphone.. Hmmm...
I'm not so concerned as I'm "single4lyfe" but.. I would rather turn it off if possible..

My understanding is if you aren't signed in to Gmail it won't keep your history.

I just checked, and the option to save Location History information was turned off in my settings. I don't recall doing that myself, but maybe I was offered the choice when I first signed up and declined.
Not being satisfied with that, I checked the location history map and found nothing going back 30 days.
Btw, I have a hobby google account, but only access it through a web browser using private settings. That apparently works, as I've had no "cross pollinization" between the two accounts.

Be careful if you ever share a Google account all the searches get saved and the other person logged in can see them, same with other Google services like maps and YouTube

I know...I need to schedule a session with Alyssa so I can personally thank her for the warning! I may never have encountered an issue if I had remained ignorant, but I'm definitely glad that I've made my extracurricular activities less obvious.
Thanks again, Alyssa!

Hobby phone hobby phone hobby phone
Keep ALL your hobby and RW shit completely separate. Always. That way it's a lot harder to be outright stoopid with your tech communication bread crumbs.

Definitely the preferred solution. Unfortunately, I've used up my 9 lives in that area.
But if someone can have a separate hobby phone, that is the safest alternative.

Hobby phone is a bad idea. Way too hard to explain. There are many better options now with Smart Phones. Google Voice is the best.
At the end of the day though, if you have an SO who is likely to be snooping your phone, it's time to question/change your relationship, IMHO. Ask yourself why you are using up precious years of your life being attached to someone that you don't want to be.
