I think asking for references is an excellent way to filter out the riff raff dick heads out there. If they don't post reviews or at all, then you have no clue what to expect.

If they have no refs, move on. Block them if they get rude and report them to a mod.

There is no need for rudeness. Ever.

Understandable why some men prefer to or not to use references. I've had men that have had references but didn't want to use them just because they didn't like the idea and I said perfectly fine here are my other screening methods and they compiled and all was fine and dandy.
Again, it's just a preference for everyone and it's all about being comfortable.
I've told a few guys Hey feel free to use me as a reference anytime, though there have been times I've forgotten to mention it and they still list me as a reference without a heads up. While I can completely understand why that would bother some ladies, it doesn't bother me. I'm happy to give references if needed. I don't however follow up with anyone I've given references for, that is tacky in my opinion.
I recently seen a regular after a very oddly long break in between visits. He told me he had broken his phone and lost all contacts. It took him some time but eventually he found my number through old emails. He said he was hoping I would have contacted him, I laughed and said sorry I don't usually do that, I look at this as a don't call me I'll call you deal and I respect that. The only time I reach out to guys is when I'm going to be in an area I'm not in often that I know they prefer.

I wonder what a X member of this board thinks about that. Now that some one tried to blackmail him. Where Info was passed this way to the person trying to blackmail him.

very true, though there are some decent guys who do not post or review at all for privacy reasons. That's where other screening methods aside from references become handy.

I have been asked once or twice, getting a little better now since I am not a total noob and do have a few reviews. I understand the need for your safety but at same time it's like, hey, can I use you as a reference to go fuck so and so, and not sure in gonna come back to you. However if it came down to asking a girl I saw for a reference to see another girl I would gladly do that instead of telling em about my job. I mean come on, I asking to see you more than likely based on previous reviews, not what you actually do for a living, unless this is your full time job. I would never ask a girl the same questions so why ask for my place of employment? We are all taking risks by hobbying but sorry, not gonna tell you where I work just I see you, unless we have seen each other or have been chatting already, than yes I might than

why no list of WHO ALL, or naming even one of.

I'm surprised some gals will even talk to one another over the phone with some of that crap that going on. Or is that went on not long ago. And mostly VP. Add in so of the crap guys have done.

fact: A thread I started was removed by a mod after I posted about a gal that followed me.
Never met her before, so why was that VP following me around one night.

I'll weigh in here.

When a provider asks for references, yes its a bit of a pain. Unless you frequent certain providers, its tough to know whom may/may not remember you to provide a reference. I guess that depends on the memory and recordkeeping abilities of the referenced provider.

On the other hand and especially when I hobby while travelling, I actually PREFER when providers screen and require references. It provides a level of comfort to me knowing they are strict with their bookings and thus I have no issue providing them with whatever references they require.

As an aside, I believe some (certainly not all) providers just use the reference requirements as a bit of a "sniff test" to see if you will comply. I'd bet there are some who don't actually even followup on them, but rather just want to gauge if you are willing to provide. I could be wrong about that, its just my sense with some.

At the end of the day, this comes back to my same opinion about people who complain about a provider setting her rates high. This is a supply and demand business. Any provider has the right to screen at whatever level she desires. She has the right to set the rates for her time at whatever level she desires. Who are we to question or hassle her over that? If you don't like it, move on. If her methods of conducting her business are out of line, the supply/demand market will correct that on its own, no need to insult or degrade. Just move along, there are plenty of fish in the sea.

A few years ago I wanted to see a provider. She asked for a reference. And proof I had seen her. I gave her someone I had seen multiple times.And I said area where she was, and town where she had since moved to. Turns out they hated each other, and started a whole shit storm. With threats and accusations. Who needs all that bullshit???

I understand the desire for references, and lacking has cost me a couple of encounters, but so be it.

It seems that Margeaux is considerate in looking at review count and content. So I have hope yet

Sometimes u gotta be careful with references because some of these girls have a bad history with each other and you will hear shit like "don't see her she fucks bareback" or she this STD or she is on PT or my favorite "That Bitch is Crazy " lol then well I wonder if she is lying or she telling the truth. Then the girl who wanted the reference throws the girl who gave you one under the bus too lol. This hobby life is a small world a lot these girls know each or have known each other. You would be surprise of some these girls who have cross paths.

Since no screening/references is required you avoid all this BS & drama....
