The “app” is called “burner”. Now I get it! Thanks for the clarification.

There are many different phone apps that fall under the "burner" category. "Burner" is one that seems to be used a lot. I use a different one - the both offer virtual numbers that you can call from / receive calls to, text from, get voicemails, etc.... and dispose of once you think that number is compromised in any way....

they will use your texts against you!!! ... wise up ppl!!! if yu read the whole article, it clearly states they are on these discussion boards........... "Many repeat buyers hang out on hobby boards — the equivalent of Yelp for commercial sex — where men discuss and rate “providers.” Lieutenant Sharpe said that his team members also hang out in these forums; one strategy is to post many “reviews” of a decoy number to drive it to the top of the list."......
just sayin
“A man texts an online ad for sex.

He gets a text back: “Hi Papi. Would u like to go on a date?” There’s a conversation: what he’d like the woman to do, when and where to meet, how much he will pay.”

Anybody asking you if you would like to go on a “date” when clearly that’s what you’re contacting them for is definitely suspect🤣😂🤣🤣🤣

The NSA, the FBI, and the DOJ.

If it weren't for Google, they might have to find real criminals and terrorists! LOL!

Being scared in this industry is like being paranoid on drugs. Both are not my thing

Best advice i'll give is do a thorough research on how to remain anonymous online... i think theres even youtube vids on it... Do those things and you should be fine. I never created an eccie account from a traceable IP address. I never log on to this from a traceable IP. I use a throwdown email to create an account and I created that email from an untraceble IP.

This may be going overboard but I try to play it safe. Also, this profession is old and hobbyist cross all kind of demographics and socioeconomic classes. It will never be stopped but things you shouldn't do that may cause you to be targeted by the government is: Mess with very young adults that could possibly be underage (you could be encouraging trafficking), Be overly aggressive or hardcore with escorts (wld hate for your actions to be considered sexual assault)... that's pretty much it. Regular Joes agreeing to do something transactional between two willing adults (no coercion by traffickers, no kids, no doing something that can be misconstrued by the consenting provider as too rough, or rape as in an unwilling act during sex.. ie: visiting someone if you know you have STD/HIV, agreeing to CFS and secretly taking off cover, etc) ....

Those things could cause a provider to come after you using the govt. That's putting a spotlight on you to locate your real identity and I'm sure there's plenty of ways to do it. I'm a tech geek and I know google voice requires google account. You create one using a phone number and certain IP. That same IP you used to make a voice number could've been used to log into your facebook and boom! You're caught.

This Hobby is swept under the rug. It's legal in most of the world. What causes it to become exposed and put in limelight is when people do stupid shit like harming someone, coerce underage people into it. As long as a client or provider isn't doing that, you'll be fine. Im sure there will be fake ads posted by sting attempts but for the most part, it will be attempts to shutdown access to websites like this. I'm sure that's even a double edge sword bc it's easier to stop human trafficking if it's easy to find the ppl doing it on escort sites. If you shutdown the sites then it goes underground. Human trafficking is disgusting and we all should do what we can to prevent it from happening.

Also, i've always liked Ads that are reviewed by ppl that I trust with time in. And I like ads that exclude people. No AA. No one under 40. A Flexible schedule etc

What?!? How you read what I put and conclude that? I work in tech... it's very easy to know these things if you know how technology really works.

Most ppl are so ignorant to how it works and too lazy to find out. I'm jus throwing out tips from what I know on the tech side of things. Ppl think incognito mode and a fake email that they use to do stuff is safe enough. It's dumb. You can read wikileaks and Snowden to get a glimpse of how one gets caught..... and history shows how govt works... around local election time we see all kind of shenanigans like stings and stuff to woo voters... esp if something is getting news worthy attention....

Play it safe or be ignorant and lazy and eventually into some kind of trouble when some politician somewhere wants to make a name for himself and use going after hobbyist to do it... common sense

+1 to the above! BTW, really like your handle!

Providers are in denial about the impacts of SESTA / FOSTA - that's up to $250,000.00 and 10 years in a Fed Pen PER OCCURENCE....

That's enough to make it worthwhile for a junior Federal DA or PA to go after a bunch of "low hanging fruit" (like one poster in this thread), make big headlines for "busting up a sex trafficking ring" and maybe getting a promotion or a transfer from Pocatello, ID to the "big time" - NYC, LA, Miami.

I personally know one provider that got picked off - she lost her BMW, all of her savings and investment accounts, her credit cards, etc. She can't apply for a job as she is now a Federal Registered Sex Trafficker, she can't take out a loan or get a credit card. She stays in dives that take cash only. The rest of her life will really suck, no pun intended.

Personally, If a lady gives me a non-secure email or text app, I politely say "thank you" and move on... if they don't give a squat about their digital security, they probably don't give a squat about their health and safety either. They can do whatever they want with their lives and their bodies, but they don't get to endanger me!

You may want to see my post from this morning under Security about WhatsApp being hacked by the Israelis under contract by the Brits.

Yeah, it's free and convenient, too!

I'm still unsure how to obtain a burner cell. I have my old cell phones in a box. Could I buy a sim card and use one of them?
