I think allowing children to roam across a country with strangers, in difficult circumstances is egregious.. some of the parents may be woefully misguided, and believe their children are reaching the promised land, and will bring the rest of the family later.. still no excuse.. MANY people around the world live in poverty and difficult conditions, and they deal with, and accept it.. frankly, many of those people are happier, generally speaking, than Americans.

and to anyone who would turn the argument away from economics, to the violence those children are fleeing from, in their home countries?
