I’m not exactly sure what to make of all of this, as it appears you are somewhat resentful towards bald, fat, Viagra popping guys being able to see whom ever they’d like?

My advice, (not that you asked for it), would be to establish an encounter with a provider who’s “newbie friendly”, then ask if she wouldn’t mind being a reference. I agree it can seem a little too much trouble at first, but certainly worth the effort. Your comment about not wanting to see one who’s desperate, has somewhat of an entitled tone to it, which I hope is not the case. There are after all, guys with lots of money and reviews, who some providers still won’t see, if they feel they’re a jerk.

I’m not resentful towards anyone. I don’t care who screws who, how often, or in what position. And as far as being “entitled” (whatever that means), I am “entitled” to be attracted to the person I am paying to see. If she is desperate and has zero standards because she is just happy someone (any one) will pay her to be with them, I will probably not be impressed.
