To stress what Eng posted, TER is gone as well for those of us in the US.

However, I was able to log on thru my VPN (having it display my IP address as out of the US) and was able to get on just fine. Not sure if this a temporary work around or not.

It's just a matter of time before Eccie and P411 follow suit. For me BP wasn't a big deal since I'm not a BP kind of guy. But we know its coming for the rest of these sites. I suspect sooner rather than later. I'm going to work on compiling a list of provider friends, email addresses, etc., along with you guys so we can keep communicating until this thing plays out.

The new law is politicians pandering to the christian right. It's easy, and it works for them. Sadly, it's a win for pimps and the real trafficers, since they're eliminating the sites that actually try to insure that minors aren't invovled

My advice is to make sure you have contact information for your favorite ladies.

P411 is Canadian, but ECCIE is likely to be in the crosshairs.

Eng, enough with the insults. It's unnecessary and not welcome.

O2 said something about getting lists, numbers and emails together just in case and it sounds like a solid idea. It might not be a bad idea for guys to introduce themselves to ladies they hope to see one day soon to break the ice and make contact. Anyone can send an email and say they are anyone so the PM can help solidify someone's handle.

And as far as the new law, I don't see how it can hold up under legal scrutiny. It steps on the 1st Amendment and the 4th and I don't see where in the Constitution exceptions were made for feel-good laws and I think politicians know that. They pass a law that makes them look tough on breaking up slave rings knowing that it will be struck down but they've already scored the political points for their re-election campaigns. In other words, they don't give a shit as long as it makes them look good.

For the record, I hate all politicians and wish we could deport them all, don't care which party, dump 'em all.

Incorrect. The site is still managed by the owners and has a statement:

We Have Temporarily Shut Down Do to the SESTA/FOSTA regulation


That is way different than the FBI seizure notice found on the backpage site.


as a point of reference you can always check the domain registration of a website

https://whois.domaintools.com/roadbunnies.com

versus

https://whois.domaintools.com/backpage.com

to insure the site wasn't hacked and defaced versus actual seizure.

In this respect the FBI runs their own Name Server

NS1.SEIZEDSERVERS.COM (has 1,753 domains)
NS2.SEIZEDSERVERS.COM (has 1,753 domains)

through Verizon (a primary DNS Server) so all DNS servers are quickly changed and the site is redirected to the FBI seizure notice even if the site owners where to try and change hosts and/or name servers on their own. This also allows the FBI to seize the server of the site for criminal procedures without worrying about evidence being destroyed or altered.

JAG, thank you for addressing the fact that this has become a win for the demons that participate in the human trafficking of Innocence.
I just had an emotional breakdown because of that one factor to my husband thinking about all of the women and children that are going to be lost because of this and all of the ladies that didn't have the knowledge of seeking out other places to advertise because nobody ever showed them and now they are going to be back out in the streets so a lot of sex workers are going to be prime targets

Angel I am old school and I definitely agree with you that it is going to get worse before we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel because we are being denied our first through fourth amendments.
There is a back Channel on YouTube that is 3 hours long and they were waiting for the feds to give the reason behind all of this catastrophe and when 6 hit nothing was given and the bills haven't even been signed as they are just stuck on a desk of a president who is more worried about saving his ass from a pornstar that he had a one-night stand with and pissing off other countries such as Syria.
