What kind of Guinness are you referring to? Personally, I don't care for the regular Guinness draught beer which is what most bars serve.

The Extra Stout (actually, I'm about to down a big bopper right now - one of my favorites

) and the Foreign Extra Stout are much better.

lots of bars that have Guinness have no idea how to pour a proper pint. find one that does, and the difference is amazing. ...mmmm... Guinness for strength.

Guinness requires nitrogen, and not CO2, for proper delivery. and clean lines and pint glasses not washed in soap (all beer requires that). and NEVER drink Guinness out of a bottle.

But my favorite stouts are either Shakespeare Stout from the Rogue Brewery in Newport Oregon, or Sierra Nevada Stout from the Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico California. Old Rasputin Imperial Stout from the North Coast Brewery in Fort Bragg California is another great choice.

JP, Preach it Brother! I hate to see a good pint of Guinness ruined by a bartender who doesn't know how to pour it.
