When I was younger, we all used to raft together in Paradise Bay....than the powers that be outlawed that activity in Paradise bay and Sandy bay. No static anchor or rafting in Paradise, and only tying off to pre-set buoys in Sandy bay.
We used to have a party on a particular Tuesday in July where a bunch of us from a certain Marina would get together for special event---can't tell you the name as it would 'out' me for sure to those who know. Lets just say we used to bring a keg and put it in an inner tube and 'float' it.
Years later most of us matured, moved away and had families and our special party eventually became 'Log Bay Day'. None of the original 12 go to that party, we usually try to meet a bit further north, away from the riotous Mob scene this has become.
I still have several of my original shirts from those days (we printed shirts- different colors for different years)..Good times, great memories, great friends!!!
NOTHING is better than boating!!! except sex on a boat, but thats still boating!!!
