Thanks, Chateau Becot. I don't keep up with football during the off season. A $550 million payment. How do you do that? Walk into a bank and say you want a cashier's check in that amount? Crazy!

Stan did ok for himself long before becoming majority owner of the Rams (originally purchased 30% of the team from previous-owner, Georgia Frontiere, then convinced her to move the team to St Louie). His real estate empire helped him become a sports mogul (he also owned NHL team, Colorado Avalanche, amongst others).

Didn't hurt that he'd married into money either.....spouse is Ann Walton. She inherited some stock from her dad (Bud...brother of Sam, btw) a few years ago and....well, she's worth $4.1 billion today.

Oh and Stan's doing just fine on his own merit.....aside from his wife's money, his worth is approximately $8 billion-plus.

After a satisfying Cowboy W yesterday vs Washington, I kicked back to enjoy the Sunday Night game. I came away with these thoughts:

Minnesota's overall performance was somewhat impressive. Considering it was his first start, Stafford looked comfortable with the offense (I give a great deal of credit to OC Norv Turner for helping make that happen). Sam and his newest best friend, Stefon Diggs, clicked right off the bat. They seemed to have instant chemistry; which is very rare considering how short a time Sam's been with the team.

On the other side of the ball, the Vikes defense made Aaron Rodgers miserable all night long (3 take aways). Couldn't believe my eyes....Terence Newman is still playing football! 38 year old DB's in the NFL is somewhat uncommon. Good for him.

Keep an eye on these guys....if Peterson's inury isn't too serious, the Vikings could be a serious contender for the NFC title this year....their defense is THAT good.

Sidenote: Dallas plays them (Dec 1) ten days after their annual Thanksgiving Day game....I feel confident Dak will play well vs the Vikes. Per my crystal ball, the former starter (ie: Tony Romo, for those who have forgotten his name already) will have been placed on season ending IR by the team after sustaining a "mysterious non-related football injury". The future is now...long live the king.

Who is on top of the NFC east division? That couldn’t be the so-called cowgirls, could it? WHY YES, YES it is. Well, what you know; and their doing it without ROMO and DEZ, AND their setting NFL records along the way. If cowgirls can do that, what does that say about Washington, Philly, and the Giants? What will the COWBOYS look like when DEZ and ROMO and linebacker Jaylon Smith (second round), defensive tackle Maliek Collins (third round), defensive end Charles Tapper (fourth round) get in there? OMG

I will root for a couple of teams - Raiders, Falcons, Lions, 49ers - but never that lame Romo. Please fire him now so I can root for the Cowboys again.

You can root for the Cowboys again. In case you haven't noticed, Schlomo is on the IR, and headed straight for the bench or the trading block. In the meantime the Cowboys are 5-1 with Dak, Zeke, and company (without Dez, I might add). If JJ puts him back in, he will have proven to us all of us without a shadow of a doubt that he's ready for a straight-jacket.

Here's a question. If JJ does decide to trade Schlomo, where does he go, and who would want him anyway?

Noob, you basically answered your own question:

THE NUMBER ONE REASON why Cowboys ownership / management would want Romo to see the playing field this season (even if it's for a game or two) is simple:

In order for there to be ANY interest in him whatsoever in the off-season, Tony needs to pass the "eye test" first. Potential suitors will want to see game film on him....film of Tony taking a hit and being capable of bouncing back for the next play. And being capable of completing that game. And being declared injury-free and ready for the following Sunday.

Otherwise, there'll be no market for Tony Romo for those teams in need a QB. And the Cowboys will be faced with either cutting him (especially if he's unwilling to rework that contract).

Make no mistake about it.....whether it happens this season or next.....Dak Prescott is this team's future. Sadly, that ship has sailed for Tony Romo.

That's an easy answer, NOBODY. His salary is too big for his age and his skills, he would have to accept a pay cut to be traded. The theory that he would be a good back up QB is hogwash because no team wants to pay a back up QB $18 million a year, that money is much better spend on other position player that can actually stay on the field.

Dak is young and has never been injury prone so he doesn't need an $18 million a year back up. Does anyone want to see Butt Fumble in the game? No of course not but for a back up QB he's average.

Rombo isn't what he was 7 years ago, he's not even what he was 2 years ago, and just because the Cowboys running game is better this year doesn't change that.

Buu Buy Tony

Dec 1st is a Thursday, one week after TurkeyDay. Vikings and the Boys play on Thursday Night Football. Then both teams get the customery 10 day post-TurkeyDay break.
