Not sure if I understand the logic of this verdict. However nasty trump's statements on social media or elsewhere may have been, exactly how did they damage her reputation or future earning capacity?

E. Jean Carroll was a washed-up former advice columnist before accusing trump of rape. Now she's an A-list celebrity. She can write a book and cash in. Her earning capacity has obviously gone up.

And her reputation has also soared, especially among her fellow New Yorkers and trump-hating friends. If Elaine's was still open, she would get the best table every night without even making a reservation.

Heck, she ought to be paying trump for elevating both her reputation and her future earning capacity!!

Well if you know anything about courts, if they tell you to shut the fuck up and you defy them this is what happens. It was a jury trial, not a judges decision.

12 jurors come up with that figure. Just saying. 12 jurors hand picked by both the defense and by the state. For both trails. I see on here about the radical left made the decision, jurors made both decisions.

I don't think she caused a riot for Jan 6th, nor hiding hush money, or grabbing anyone by the pussy, or taking secret documents, or ripping the government of there taxes, or trying to fix the votes from Georgia, or holding money from Ukraine, so I guess she hasn't done all bad.

I didn't ask who came up with the decision or the absurd $83.3 million "damages" award. I asked what was the logic behind it. How were her reputation and future earnings damaged by anything Trump said? You haven't answered my question.
