It has seemed like A&M has been playing tougher teams early in the year as compared to Texas (in the past), so it would not be a big deal for the Aggies, but may be for UT which has sought out "practice scrimmages" in the past..

Point taken...it's hard to say! "....unless your Notre Dame!" was supposed to be in my comment about being in the right conference to maximize TV $$$...but I inadvertently edited it out somewhere along the way!
That being said...I do think that UT v. TA&M is a big enough deal...at least in this part of the woods...that a Thanksgiving date might be able to hold the line. ND v. USC keeps creeping too far up into the schedule for my tastes...but it's still there. If they were more committed to when the game took place they could probably still make it happen later in the season if they really wanted to.
But, the Fighting Irish are swimming upstream...even they know that & will admit it if asked off the record. Their football program is Big 10 in everything but name.
I miss the days when Notre Dame v. Army was big time...lol...and I wasn't even alive then!!
