Not all talk is cheap either;
I have friends that really think the girl at SC is a rocket scientist by day, does this at night to pay for her doctorate, and has a real connection with them...and they fleece them for every available bill plus a couple trips to the ATM. The guy I am thinking of gave up like 4 bills and I'm pretty sure he only left with fishermens fingers.

Intial contact on the phone should be short and sweet at first unless we established regular times together. However after we meet in person conversation before and after the session is great. Conversation ads to the flow of the session and helps us both enjoy it more.. Alot of times the conversation before/after our appointment is what keeps me a regular. Not having a SO I also love random how you doing texts and pictures.

I need to get to know them a bit before I'll meet. I feel bad for ladies because they could waste a lot of time with tire kickers but I want to chat (PM or email is fine) before to see if I think we'll click. I think that's just part of their business but that's not what everyone wants. I'm always looking for something longer-term so if there are signals I don't think we'll click I don't waste my time or money.

If a lady entertains me by talking a bit over a few days or weeks I will most often meet with her and by that time we've chatted enough I'm extra excited for the meeting. I did an ISO Monday and asked about specific activities I enjoy and asked them to PM me their rate...While I met with someone I'd met before, I got some great leads for future appointments - one I've chatted with daily and I'll be seeing her next week. Those that replied that don't even enjoy the activities I enjoy wasted both of our time and some didn't list the price (I was driving and wasn't able to look at every profile for prices or specials they had going) so I wrote them off. I don't know how many people a provider needs to talk to in order to actually get an appointment but if they can't spend 10 minutes on emails (total - a minute or two an email) I'm most likely not going to meet with them. It's a fine line but the bottom-line answer for me to your question is I want and need communication before we meet.
