Yeah...there's no chance of winning with a QB who comes right outa college and puts up number like that.

There is a reason he was still available in the 4th round. He did have a great rookie season. But keep in mind that one season isnt going to win superbowls. Nor are our 5 past championships. After an 8 and 8 season this year at best Jason will be gone and we will be looking for a QB.

An 8-8 record doesn't necessarily get Garrett the boot. Nor does 9-7 or 7-9 for that matter. However...if its clear the team has quit on him sometime during the season....well, that's an altogether different story, isn't it? Jones has made that point clear numerous times.
Dak, as we know, is currently in the 3rd year of his rookie contract. Under your premise, unless he shows he can't make chicken salad out of this group of chicken shit receivers then he should be replaced, right?
Or is it just possible by simply upgrading the Dallas receiving corps, Dak Prescott becomes a more effective...and possibly a championship contending quarterback?

Jerry is in the number$ game. Win like jimmy or lose like jerry. He knows people will pay his price to visit jerry world. Sad but true. Even the okie could win with jimmy's team. Not so much with a jerry team

I wonder if they are still saying that about Tom Brady being available in the late rounds.

Au contraire.....the naysayers conveniently leave out the fact that FIVE time Super Bowl winner and future Hall of Famer Tom Terrific managed to last until mid-6th round....the 199th player selected.
Just as they forget about other past Super Bowl winning QB's who likewise fell out of the first / second rounds of the NFL draft:
Joe Montana in the 3rd round....Roger Staubach in the 10th round....and the winning QB of the first two Super Bowls, the great Bart Starr, in the 17th round to name a few.....
Evaluating talent is not without its flaws. If it was that easy (knowing who would transcend to the "next level") teams would've never wasted 1st round draft picks on qb's like Ryan Leaf...LaMarcus Russell...Akili Smith...Johnny Manziel...

Well no need to debate Daks inability to throw the ball. If we have a good season then I will eat my words. However when we suck for another season then we will see Jason will be replaced and we will draft another QB.

Of course jerry will blame jason smh. Even when an okie could win with a jimmy team. Nobody can win with a jerry team. Jimmy made the Cowboys great again and jerry is still taking credit for the glory days. 8/8 and never pay the price of admission to Arlington or Winstar to make jerry more wealthy.

I'm feeling the Cowboys at 7-9 this year.
of course, I completely blew the 13-3 Season 2 years ago.. never saw it coming. but I was right last year, about the major dip. yes, Zeke was out a while, but I don't think he will be great this year.. good, but not great.

I will be watching the Texans today since that have a great player that is in a league of his own when it comes to class.

I don't know that it's really fair to label Roger Staubach as a 10th round pick, although it's technically true. If I recall correctly, he was drafted out of the Naval Academy in his Junior year back when it was not common to draft players with college eligibility left. Also, he had a naval service commitment after graduation. So it was really an investment in the future that the Cowboys were making. It's not really the same thing as drafting someone in the 10th round who will play the next year.

8 - 8 if they are lucky.
No deep threat, no matter how good Zeke is, he will wear down.
Dak is good, reliable, but can't carry the offense by himself.
Defense needs a safety.
