Really? There’s about $8000 worth of proof in my last years taxes, as compared to prior to Trumps tax cuts.

How many of these threads do we have see. This makes what number 15. The answer is the same.
Just Fine. The Democrats will fix the stupidity of the last 4 years dealing with a bunch of partisan wrangling by Republicans and Fox News. OANN and Breitbart will return to their roots as National Enquirer clones. Trump will call in the Fox and Friends and Hannity complaining about how the DoJ and NY AG are trying to jail him and that what they are doing is so unfair to him.
The Supreme Court will get a makeover as will the Courts of Appeal. State governments will gerrymander the shit out of congressional districts favoring Democrats in congress. Taxes on the ultra wealthy will rises and taxes on people like me will increase slightly but the rest of you poor fucks will see your taxes remain the same. ObamaCare will be cemented as law of the land and a public option will get introduced so insurance companies will have to lower prices.
Russia will get sanctioned with actual sanctions with teeth rather than a couple oligarchs. Iran and NK will both retreat back to all talk no action. We will take a step toward more lasting jobs out of the oil fields and toward other types of energy (sorry oil field workers but you’ll start slowing headed to the rate of coal workers). The whole of gov approach will be taken to ensuring we minimize deaths from Covid rather than stupid shit like “let it rip” or “it’s not really killing people”.
We will overall be better in 2024 thanks to Biden and Harris.

Agreed. The other thing leftists can't seem to process is that you can either have diversity and racism, or you can have a monoculture and peace. Peaceful diversity is impossible because some cultures literally developed in opposition to other ones.
Schools only care now to make more state dependents. They don't even teach critical thinking anymore because critical thinking implies the notion that students should question the actions and motives of their teachers and other authorities, which is something the authoritarian left can't abide by.

I totally disagree. Go visit Brazil. Blonde haired blue eyed people living peacefully with dark skinned kinky haired people. With many, many versions of skin color and hair in between. Lots of inter-marriage. Truly a mixed race culture. Everybody considers themselves a Brazilian.
It will probably take a few more generations, but if everyone agrees they are an American, we can all live together in (mostly) harmony. I think we are slowly getting there.

Only idiots think socialism doesn't destroy any incentive to work hard and achieve more so that the gumment can take it away from you...and "redistribute the wealth"...but those that don't have it are all for taking from those that have and giving it to those that don't.

We might just have to. Today, after Adam (lying sack of) Schitt, said that it was clear that the whole Hunter Biden laptop story was Russia disinformation, the FBI confirmed they have the Hunter laptop and along with the DOJ "CONFIRMED", that the e-mails are from Hunter and agree with the Director of National Intelligence that this is not Russian disinformation.
HOLY SCHITT!
Schitt show again confirmed as the worst liar in Congress and Hunter and Papa Joe's corruption is more than likely real. There will be no holding back this investigation now he said wishfully.
But since the story is being stopped from wide spread distribution by the MSM and big tech. platforms where 85% of Millennial's get their news or don't get their news in this case, will not hear about all this Biden corruption till after they vote for the corrupt fool.
Soooooo, what happens if Biden is elected and the corruption can no longer be denied by even the MSM and big tech. and Biden must be impeached?
Why Commala becomes President of course. Let that sink in for a minute. In order to get Trump out of office and ignore the Biden corruption, Democrats will have put the very person they rejected in huge numbers, the person who voted to the left of Bernie Sanders as the most Liberal Senator in the Senate, becomes President! Yippie!
The Dem's wanted Trump out so bad, they end up with a person and a position, the majority said they did not want.
Won't this be fun till 2024.

So I'm not sure wtf your talking about.
Were we a Socialist country back in the 1960 when tax rates on the wealthy were much higher?
|
Au contraire. Back in 1960 government spending (federal, state and local) was around 26% of GDP. Now it's around 35% to 40%. The government is a much bigger share of the economy now than it was then.
As to the Ryan/ Trump Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, yes, it did drive up deficits and debt, but it also helped the poor and middle class. I'd rather see pork and the defense budget cut as a way of reducing the deficit, instead of increasing the corporate tax rate. And I don't have a vested interest in corporate taxes, as I own very little in the way of stocks in the United States of America.
This explains more. I published it a few weeks ago while you were still on sabbatical:

Please note that "median" doesn't mean the same as average. It means the middle number. Fifty percent of American households in 2019 made less than the median income and fifty percent made more. So this number is very representative of how the middle class is faring.
The 2019 figure is striking, $68,703 per household, up 6.8% from 2018. During Obama's entire 8 years in office, coming out of a recession which should have goosed growth and wages, the increase was only 5.8%
This is very good news. The middle class did not do particularly well during the period of time when George W. Bush and Barrack Obama served as presidents. (Aside: I don't place the blame primarily on those two leaders -- there are many other factors that affect income growth besides what the president does or does not do.)
In fact, median household income when Obama left office had barely budged since 1999 and 2000, when the policies of a Republican Congress and President Clinton (welfare reform, a balanced budget, free trade, a lower capital gains tax) helped usher in a golden age. See this chart and click on "Max" for some historical perspective: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/MEHOINUSA672N
So what happened? I believe a huge part of the reason for the growth in median household income last year was the Ryan/ Trump tax cuts for corporations, and for pass through businesses with lots of employees, in 2017. Trump's deregulation helped as well. Businesses expanded. There was more competition for labor. Unemployment went down. Wages went up.
The Wall Street Journal published a piece on the Census numbers. It wasn't just the middle class that did well:
Poverty fell 1.3 percentage points last year to 10.5%, the lowest level since 1959, and declined more for blacks (2 percentage points), Hispanics (1.8), Asians (2.8), single mothers (2.6), people with a disability (3.2), and no high-school diploma (2.2). The black (18.8%) and Hispanic (15.7%) poverty rates were the lowest in history.
As family household incomes increased, the child poverty rate also declined to 14.4% from 16.2% in 2018 and 18% in 2016. The decline in childhood poverty last year was nearly twice as much as during the entire Obama Presidency. The most pro-family policies are those that increase jobs and wages.
Income inequality last year also declined by most measures as the bottom quintile’s share of income grew 2.4%.
The share of households making less than $15,000 in inflation-adjusted dollars declined to 9.1% last year from 10.4% in 2016 and 11.2% in 2010. At the same time, the share with income between $75,000 and $200,000 increased to 36.1% from 34.4% in 2016 and 32.8% in 2010 while the percentage earning more than $200,000 ticked up to 10.3% from 8% in 2016 and 5.9% in 2010.
In other words, all Americans were gaining economic ground. But lower and middle-class Americans enjoyed the largest gains relative to the Obama Presidency.

I want to thank Eccieuser for participating in my series of "For Eccieuser" threads, and for reciprocating with a couple of "For Tiny" threads as well. I am trying to enlarge my audience, and in the hopes that three or four people who are left of center will read this post instead of just one, I have titled it "For Esteemed Posters on the Left", instead of "For Eccieuser."
I would also like to thank some of the posters here who suffer from TES (Trump Enlightenment Syndrome), who showed me that there's a way to put words that start with t, like Tiny and Trump, in tiny text.

I believe peaceful diversity is possible too and the best way is breeding. So I've been knocking up as many women of different races as I can. OK, the second part's not strictly true, "banging" would be a better description than "knocking up."
I've only spent a week in Brazil and don't know the country. But what I've read would indicate that unfortunately there's a lot of discrimination against darker skinned people, and it shows up in statistics like average incomes, unemployment and longevity. Violence and murders in Brazil are off the scale. But yes, compared to right now in the U.S.A., more peace on the streets.
And agreed, we are making progress in the USA.

You're confusing race and culture. They get along fine because they have the same culture. Note the aboriginal jungle Brazilians that get btfo'd constantly by the government there. Lots of tension between them and the contemporary Brazilians.
