You first must decide what your true goal is. Then decide if confrontation will help you achieve it.
To me, the only strategic value confrontation has is to change future behavior. . . and it never, ever works. If you are leaving the relationship anyway, just leave. The less fanfare, drama and equivocating, the better. Make the cut as clean and well mannered as possible, but make it complete.
Then re-evaluate how you got into the situation so as to learn to stay out of similar ones in the future. Essentially, a relationship "post mortem".
Above all, remember that free advice is always worth precisely what you pay for it!
