You know you are a hobbyist when you are checking craigslist Thursday night for some last minute cheap tickets to Texas/OU, you get a text from a utr friend, and decide seeing her on Friday is better than watching UT make mistakes on defense.

When you find yourself unintentionally using Hobby acronyms in the real world such as introducing a new girlfriend to friends as "This is my GF".....
I recall awhile back after some less than gratifying, non-passionate and very predictable "Play" with a budding new "GF".
She inquired as to why I suddenly became so pensive and I politley responded with....
"Honey I think you are absolutely wonderful and amazing but I don't know that we are really all that BCD compatible".
Of course after giving me a puzzled look I had to quickly recover with "Oh I meant BA for bedroom activities." lol

You know you're a hobbyist when you get a txt about your next session during a business meeting and you explain that you HAVE to respond to this because it has financial repercussions.
You know you're a hobbyist when you have to make sure your phone is on vibrate and screen locked due to the # of threads that are streaming in from ECCIE.
You know you're a hobbyist when you have to make sure GoogleTalk is turned off when you get to work so that each new email doesn't pop up on your screen while at the office!

Ok, this is pretty geeky, but I've been doing a lot of work with Windows WMI lately. The default namespace is "root\cimv2" You know you're a hobbyist when everytime you see that, you do the Homer Simpson thing "mmmmmm.....cum in mouth....."
