If you want to start a thread about the cost of services it is easy to do so. You can even name it GPS. As it has been stated many times on here, services are truly a supply and demand system that reflect an unadultrated market.

If every hobbist refused to pay more than $200, then the price would be $200. If every provider's price was $300 then then price would be $300. But since the experience, prefference, menu, ect differs greatly then the price will differ.

We do not compare smart cars with corvettes, both are 2 seat cars but the simularity ends there and the price is worlds apart.

The cost will always be determined by what the market will bear for the services provided and the desirability of the package. Some like one design and ride some another. The envy displayed by those who desire a Corvette at Smart Car prices is unseemly. If you have a Corvette there is no need to sell it at Smart car prices. If you have an over supply of Corvettes on the market then the price will fall. If you Corvette is high mileage and shows it then it is worth less.

It takes money to go to school and be a CERTIFIED mechanic (insert any skill job that pays a lot, btw...just running with mechanic here to make my point). Money is hard to come by for some guys. Not all of us are in the NBA, NFL, NHL or is the son of a oil company CEO.

A lot of providers don't even put in work to be the best provider they can be. Natural looks and body does 99% of the work IN MOST CASES. A cbj girl SHOULD NOT be charging no 300 freakin' bucks.

GM also owns Opel a German Car Co. In the late 60s early 70s the produce the Opel GT and Opel Manta. Even 2 Corvettes can have a lot of difference in cost. Base model no options vs convertable, A/C, stereo upgrade, engine up grade, transmission, suspension ect and dont forget the value or devaluation of non original equipment.

Exactly my point. If a certain car or option is too expensive for your budget, you don't buy it. If you go to some places you get to haggle (most car lots, swap meets, ect) some place you do not haggle (most stores, professional services with set rates) So if you don't like their price shop around or pay up.

I would say that any job is unskilled if performed by an unskilled person. You seem to be reffering to either the individuals skill or certification. I can rebuild a car or motorcycle from the ground up and my only certificate in mechanics is from experience and the school or hard knocks. I am not sure I would want a blow job from a girl that has never done one before or to have sex with someone who thinks it is just mechanics. (in, out, up, down to completion, next) It takes alot of experience to make sex great. I do not have much in the way of party funds so my price point is below my desires alot of the time. But for those who have more funds than I have, I applaud you.
