Not for the personal story of an old guy.

When I was in my 30s I lost my first wife and went without sex for about two years, I wasn't interested in dating and did not know about the hobby.

I developed a strange pain in my lower stomach area and went to the regular doctor. When he put his finger inside and lifted up on the prostate the pain was so severe that I yelled. He immediately sent me to a urologist who diagnosed it was not cancer, but a prostate infection due to not having sex often enough. He said I had to have sex often enough to empty the prostate.

(An aside: I asked if he could write a prescription for sex and he said sure, but he didn't know which pharmacy would fill the prescription.)

Anyway, he put me on a series of antibiotics for about 6 to months plus a monthly visit for him to massage the prostate to enable it to fully empty (he checked the progress of the antibiotics too).
