A former member of the Ukrainian parliament and adviser to Ukraine's president told CBS News it was a "well-known fact" there that President Donald Trump wanted "compromising" information on former Vice President Joe Biden. Serhiy Leshchenko added that Ukraine's president knew that U.S. aid to his country was at stake.

"I am sure that issue of Biden was forever on the table between Zelensky and Trump," said Leshchenko. As a former lawmaker and adviser to Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, Leschenko believes it was clear that President Trump wanted Ukraine to investigate his Democratic rivals.
"Of course, he wanted political privileges, favors, for his re-election from Ukraine," he said.
"In return for military aid?" asked correspondent Roxana Saberi.
"I would say yes," Leshchenko replied.

Wrong, he didn't request compromising information on Joe Biden. What Trump was seeking from the Ukrainian President was information as to what was going on in the Ukraine involving Joe Biden and his son. Joe Biden had already openly admitted to interfering with a Ukrainian investigation where he demanded a Ukrainian prosecutor be fired or he would withhold funds that was promised to the Ukrainian Government. The Prosecutor was fired and Biden bragged about it. Trump is the sitting President and he has a right to know these things when it involves a possible Political Opponent. Trump didn't make any deals or demands to the Ukrainian president, nor did he commit any crimes or violate the United States Constitution.
