I'm very lucky. I've been to most of the places I really want to go. But a few I might like to see.
St. Petersberg, Russia
The Prado, Madrid
Atacama dessert for astronomy.
Auckland, NZ

"Invade" is such a harsh term. Experience.

The good old USA
Luke I'm like you. Been there done that so I'm happy sitting on my back porch in my ranch smoking a Cuban and drinking ice chilled tequila and reflect back on my travels but Isla de la reunion sure gets my attention.

Such a great topic! I need to check into the Dallas Sandbox more frequently!!!
My passport expires this summer and I REALLY would like to see it stamped just one more time!!!
My current travel wishes include (but not limited to!):
Morocco
Algiers
Greece
Turkey
China and other parts of Asia. Thailand. I REALLY wish to get a sank yant tattoo, which would be rather wild. Might be difficult to find a monk to do it but it's something that I want to do for the experience.
I would also like to return to Europe. Only been there once before.
I'm with the other guy who said Machu Picchu was great, but I wouldn't return to Peru unless someone just paid me to do so. I liked the country. But it wasn't a pleasant place to spend 10 days there while alone.
I was constantly hassled. But I generally like traveling to Central America and Mexico. It just seems like the attitudes have changed there a lot since I started traveling when I was younger.
Additional places:
Brazil
Uruguay
Honduras
US:
New York (!!!!!)
Alaska
Seattle
Portland
Just what I'm daydreaming about on a Friday (the 13th!) afternoon. I haven't left the country in YEARS. Anyone have some frequent flier miles that they would like to share with me????
I'll barter for a ticket(s) someplace special!!! Always.
Hugs,
Elisabeth

I've been to the places I wanted to go in Asia... For some reason I have no desire to go to China.
Of the places I have been I would not return to:
Pakistan
Lima, Peru (although machu picchu is amazing)
India (unless I need inexpensive medical care)
So many cultures to explore!

China sucks if you have bad lungs. Unbelievable air pollution - fuckers don't like catalytic converters, among other things. Plus, they didn't have any prettier girls than we have here.

So in China, it's kindof hard to breath?
Are there any other places that you've visited that you can say the same thing about? For whatever reason, I don't like the idea of visiting a place that has horrible pollution.
Guess Dallas has its share.

One of the most gracious females that I've ever worked with, in the real world, was from South Africa. And she would tell me about the country and I agree ... it must be lovely.
I wish to go around the world and see EVERYTHING. And Africa would be on that list ... just down the list a bit! Except for Algiers. I really wish to visit Algiers. And isn't that a part of Africa? God ... my geography is SO lacking. blush

I have a friend visited almost all countries due to his work nature. He recommended for me Italy or France and Dubai (visit others cities near Dubai). He said a new world that you never imagine. I like to travel to experience something new.

South Africa is spectacular. Especially the Kruger game reserve. The smaller private parks are the best. Outstanding service, gourmet food, and the sights of a lifetime. Cape Town and the nearby wineries will blow you away.
Algeria is in Africa, on the Mediterranean due south of France. I would not advise going there. Too many Jihadis and people looking to kidnap westerners for ransom running around for my taste. South Africa can be pretty dicey as well, to be honest, particularly for a woman travelling alone. But if you plan things well and take safety precautions, you will be fine.
China is very much worth a visit, even though the pollution is bad and it keeps getting worse. In fact, for air quality, Chinese cities are by far the worst places I've ever been. However, China is one of the great civilizations of mankind, and there are amazing things to vist and see there. Unless you are asthmatic, it is worth the terrible air quality.

Slight segue ... I wonder if that would make a good topic? Women who would barter for air miles, or really in my case ... I would just wish to barter for a ticket someplace.
I mean, if I could get a round trip ticket to Morocco ... who KNOWS what I would be willing to do for that person?
Grin. Makes me smile a wicked smile to just think about it.
