I never really experienced this until I started providing. Possibly it has to do with guilt (for the ones with SO)????

Concentrating on having an O is a perfectly legitimate time to close your eyes. Also while sneezing.

A large majority of the posters on here prefer GFE, which should include (or at least the illusion of) some passion, kissing, DATY, etc. Eye contact helps provide that connection as well. If you don't feel comfortable with providing that, you don't have to provide GFE. Plenty of others will.
