Why not ask for the information of the person that is harassing them instead ?

In this day and age of open wireless hotspots who do not do any logging of network traffic, etc..... disposable usb wireless adapters so the MAC address of the network adapter becomes untraceable, tell me how can you find someone based on their info?

I can hide in plain site

I agree completely while your intents may be innocent with everthing happening right now this is not the time to be offering something like this. I have had problems with being harrassed and stalked (personally and cyber wise) and I did what I had to but it was legal....In addition Justin49 no one here knows you and so coming across as a hacker is not a way to gai friends just make people cautious of you in addition to attempting to start another CL type site...please....no offense but my gut is telling me there something about you that is sending up MAJOR red flags..i hope the moderators really track you and your posts..just my opinion....

Some of the more mature ladies on the board have brought to my attention that the headline of post, HACKER FOR HIRE, may have irked some people and brought the resulting responses. I guess a more accurate title would have been, COUNTER-HACKER for HIRE. I realize that a lot of providers have begun to hate the word "Hacker" as more and more of their sites get hacked into and more and more ladies are stalked. That's why we've provided our services in the first place - to help, not to hurt! Thanks to all the kind ladies with the PMs - I would appreciate it if you would also post your comments on this post.

Fair enough, Justin. My comment was not to be interpreted as sarcasm. I like the whole "Nerdy Superheroes For Hire" thing The term "Hacker" raises alot of eyebrows and draws unwanted attention. Saying "we counter cyber aggression", for example, would have been less controversial.

I can see this being a valuable service, especially in light of recent events, if Justin is who and what he claims to be. Girls, don't be so quick to dismiss him and it's not illegal to gather information. Private investigators do this kind of thing all the time. Some are just better with a keyboard than others. I've asked him for more information so we'll see.

He might be a wanker, he might not. I say, poke it with a stick and see if it moves.

Wow! This post got hot. I think most providers, once they feel compromised, turn to where they already have a sense of trust. The ladies whom agree to see me, know what I do for a living and if/when/how I can help them, I will get asked.

But I am not surprised at the hostility towards "Justin. Justin, your initial responses seemed quite hostile. Open hostility can be interpreted as you admiting that you've been called out on the mat. If your post was truly harmless, don't get offended, offer an apology, and just let this go for now.

My image of hackers I guess comes from watching way too much TV. I visualize these nerdy teenagers, who have IQ scores over 140 who basically are up to no good, and generally are tracked by CIA, FBI and then caught and recruited by the agencies who catch them! LOL

But Spirit, I have always been told the same thing, real hackers do not tell people that they are hackers.

@ Guilty Pleasures - Every year for the past 14+ years in Vegas there has been a Hacker Convention called Defcon. I have been to a few but stopped going every year due to nothing really new I could not read up on at home.

My main focus is wireless security.. but Hackers (real ones with serious hack jobs on their records) do not talk in public that they are...

I am not saying this guy does not have "$k1llz" (`leet speak for "skills") but coming onto a website that has banter about a hobby that is morally questionable and can get you into trouble, yet asking for ladies to give their info to him so he can hunt down "stalkers" I smell "Bacon"

This is funny.

Everyone knows the only box a provider allows access to. And her only cookie you get to look at isn't on her computer. And you better bet she has trojans.

Analisa is my sweetheart.

First, if you use the word "Hacker" in any form with my IT companies; they tell you to leave and don't ever come back. It is consultant or IT contractor. With my 12 years of experience, I am called Field Services IT.

I agree with Spirit about tracking the person. I have done recent service calls where several businesses got their router and gateway hacked where the rest of the users could not get IP address on their machine. There was a hotel lodging on military base that is happen to. I worked 9 straight hrs, and there were four buildings that denied access. Me and lodging manager went to every room in the four buildings. We never found the person. My Cisco engineers found that hotel guest had hacked the main router and gateway which denied everyone Internet access. This allow a group hackers from Korea to do second attack on the router and gateway.
