I like the combination of Jerry and Tony. As long as they are together, just guarantees the Cowgirls won't win anything.

Brady, Brees, or Flacco - any one or all at the same time - in a Dallas Cowboys uniform behind the current offensive line, equipped with the current offensive players, and personnel; and being coached and managed by an idiot wannabe from Arkansas who's trying to emulate the late Al Davis? Sorry, but same results! And folks would be envying the other successful team that had Romo as their QB

I love how Cowgirl fans dodge and deflect, we are discussing Romo and the Cowgirls, not the Chiefs...
But since you asked much better. New GM, new coach, new QB (although im not that happy with Alex Smith its new), new contracts for our best players several FA signings, and of course... Leon Sandcastle.

All I can say is I don't plan to buy any tickets to Cowboys games, so Jerry can spend all of the season ticket holders' money anyway he likes. As long as people are dumb enough to support Jerry financially, he can do anything the salary cap allows.
Is Tony worth it? Should the money have been spent on an offensive line, and a defense? Would a real coach, with authority to coach, make a difference? Is it really all because Jerry is an idiot?
The debate about Jerry has been ongoing since February 25, 1989 or so. Sporting events are a game of what ifs and Monday morning quarterbacks have never changed the win-loss record of ay team.
Jerry Jones is a guy who likes to throw his money around to prove he is big shit. I despise guys like that, so his failure is something I can enjoy. Jerry will never get over his Napoleon Bonaparte syndrome (little man's disease for those of you without an understanding of history.) He loves the ability to put people on his payroll and then control them. I guess Tony decided that the money (and maybe finishing out his career in DFW for family reasons) was more important than some silly old ring.

Roma has been part of the problem for the Cowboys. I don't think any sane person can dispute that. But--this is just my opinion--Romo is easily in the top 10 QBs in the NFL. There are lots of teams who have worse QBs.
I just heard a deal on the radio that the Cowboys no longer have anyone on the team they drafted in 2009 other than the first round pick. That's pitiful. That's why they are mediocre. Jerry Jones is great at marketing the team. But managing personnel is not his strong suit.
And the reason the contract is for so many years is to spread out the money so it doesn't impact the salary cap as drastically.

I am not dodging justnthe irony of a Kansas guy coming and complaining about what the Cowboys are doing.
You put any of those other QBs on this team and they would be no different. Flacco and Brady have had a defense and o line.

The only reason why Jimmy Johnson can succeed is if he has a Herschel Walker to trade, and there
is a team as foolish as the Minnesota Vikings, which accepts that one player in exchange for 11 of its
own. Otherwise Jimmy Johnson is no better than his Miami Dolphins record says ...
