I'm glad Trump is not an Establishment Republican. I wouldn't support him if he was. And I think polls are showing that Johnson is taking at least as many votes from Hillary, if not more. Johnson's been actively pursuing Bernie voters, and practically ignoring disaffected Republicans.

The Libertarian Party would do a lot better if it got rid of the open borders insanity.

If you want to protect freedom, you have to prevent entry of people from Islamic countries and any other country with profoundly totalitarian culture.

If you want prosperity, you have to prevent entry of hordes of unskilled laborers who will do nothing by undermine the wage scales of American citizens and add costs to our social services system.

Or Hillary.

Johnson is for immigrants that want to enter the U.S. to obtain work visas, good for two years. Any immigrant that fucks with this is sent back.

You can't stop the flow of immigrants, legal or otherwise in to the US. He is also for levying sanctions on employers who do not comply with this.

Yes you can stop the flow. And the answer is in your own post.

Fine the shit out of any company that employs and illegal alien. Period. Like $1000 per day. See how fast all of the builders stop picking up illegal laborers outside Home Depot for $10 per hour. Then they will have no choice but to hire organized American labor for $30 per hour.

And what makes you think we can't stop legal immigration. We have in the past. We simply restrict the number of green cards we issue.

+1

Yep. Yep. Yep.

Just because we can't achieve 100% border security doesn't mean we shouldn't try for 98%.

This is the Eisenhower deportation program

Trumps deportation plan is doable. just double the budget for ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement) and deputize 20,000 national guardsman for additional manpower as needed.

besides, the deportation stats on the last 5 years is pretty close to 1 million.

this program was undermined by a lot of people who wanted cheap laborer and it is obvious that the Eisenhower administration failed to secure the border to prevent the underminding of the wetback program.

Quote:
During the entirety of the Operation, border recruitment of illegal workers by American growers continued due largely to the low cost of illegal labor, and the desire of growers to avoid the bureaucratic obstacles of the Bracero program. The continuation of illegal immigration despite the efforts of Operation Wetback was largely responsible for the failure of the program.
this stuff with the illegal alien children has to stop too.
Quote:
These infants are, according to the longstanding Administrative interpretation of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, American citizens from birth. Congress has never legislated, nor the Supreme Court specifically ruled on whether babies born to visiting foreign nationals are eligible for automatic US Citizenship.
What??? Illegals can't be proscuted for identity theft? That sucks.
Quote:
Identity theftIdentity theft is sometimes committed by illegal immigrants who use social security numbers belonging to others, in order to obtain fake work documentation.[129] However, the US Supreme Court has ruled that illegal immigrants cannot be prosecuted for identity theft if they use "made-up" social security numbers that they do not know belong to someone else; to be guilty of identity theft with regard to social security numbers, they must know that the social security numbers that they use belong to others.
