Like many things in this hobby, this seems to be a line that can become blurred very easily. I personally enjoy communicating with most of my clients, at the appropriate time. I get a kick out of the type of text the op is referring to, and it's flattering to know I cross your mind on a non-play day. But the flip side of that coin can get pretty tarnished when an ill timed or explicit sexually charged message is involved.

For me it's a matter of setting and respecting boundaries. Knowing the proper time correspond with a gentlemen is important to me. It's also a two way street. If you message a lady during her posted working hours for example, you are more likely to receive a welcoming reply. Where as late night messaging is a no-no and holidays text a BIGGER NO-NO in my book. I don't want to hear from you on Thanksgiving morning when I'm busy stuffing my own bird. Having said that, a text the day before or after a wishing me a nice holiday is perfectly acceptable. My number one pet peeve and a straight line to the DNS list is to psyco-sext me when your less than sober. Not having it!

Now to address your original concern, I think the way the lady responded to you this morning was more about the timing of your text, after all...the rent is due.

It's all about timing Baby.

Sometimes guys get to carried away with this as well I prefer we have seen each other before.. Or you will get message at 3am from a Asian that says Offer still open for a short dick orienitial.. GRRR I told him don't contact me again... True Story

I have a regular I'll text periodically and generally if I'm texting a provider over a non hobby reason I don't expect a reply. She is a provider and her hours vary so if she reads it and smiles then it served its purpose and I'm good knowing I text with good intentions.

I don't need a reply.

If I'm texting for an appointment and don't get a reply then that's all the answer I need. I'll just see them next time.

You are so obviously fishing for a provider who might one day be a FWB or girlfriend. They don't want to hear from their tricks unless its about setting up an appointment. If they want to shoot the shit with someone, they'll call a non-hobby friend.

The next time you are contemplating sending some 25 year old a "Just thinking of you, hope you have a beautiful day

" text, try this. Hold your phone up with a picture of her next to a mirror. Now look at the old fat fuck / neckbeard in the mirror. Are you kidding? Of course she doesn't want to hear from you, that's why you had to pay $300 just to spend an hour with her. If she responds, it's because she's hoping you will schedule an appointment.

I'm not totally unsympathetic to your thoughts. Lauren Mayfair makes me long for pre-technology days when two people separated by an ocean, living completely different lives, would write to each other for decades without meeting. That said, she's a hot little high dollar MILF and I'm a FOUG with a penchant for cheap hot latinas, so I don't let the little head dictate what happens outside the bedroom. Just say no to texting.

that's a big assumption. just because you say you are doesn't mean everyone else is. sure I've heard your assumption has a high percentage of being correct from providers themselves but it's still an assumption and not true about every hobbyist.

I don't send anything like that. But if I got one I would reply. If I ever do send something it will usually be music related, links to tech stuff, movie or book related material or anything that I remember to recommend that happens to come up during a session.

I'm a total jokester so if I'm cool with the lady I might just out of the blue send a short 30 sec voice clip of me trying to sing.

If they're ok with it I will show the same friendliness with a cool provider that I do with my RW friends. If they're not ok with it they will let me know it's pretty simple. Life is short so I like to have fun when the mood hits me.

When I receive an email or text, I try to respond quickly whether it be a regular or new person. I like to keep in touch, and if I'm busy, I'll say so.
Even the best of technology will hiccup, I was told I didn't respond to an email, and on second attempt many days later, we got together. Comparing history, it shows he sent email. Mine shows none received. It's a good idea to follow up. We missed out on a full week of opportunities for fun.

deflect much when you're wrong? where did I say anything about not being a FOUG would get you a donation-less session? hell, I didn't even mention good looking or bad looking. you simply blanket stated every hobbyist did this hobby for the FOUG reason which is wrong.
