A lot of people are their “friends”. And other countries need their oil more than we do. The Saudis are also one of our biggest constraints against Iran. MBS was trying to reform Saudi Arabia and tamp down Wahhabism. Thats one of the reasons we wanted to work with them. They also softened their stance on Israel. Iran is still the number one State sponsor of Terrorism. That’s not changing. If the Ayatollahs go, and dismantle their nuke program, we’ll work with them. The Iranian people want to adopt western culture. But OBama fucked that up.
