Joe stepping down is an example of putting the country above personal pride and aggrandizement. Stepping aside from the power, privilege and prestige that comes with the office of the president should be acknowledged for the true sacrifice that it is.

One man put country over his ambitions. The other attacked the country to stay in power. I will never understand how a debate performance meant more to people than an incited coup.

He realized what had to be done and he took it like a man of integrity.

When it came time for Trump to do the same he claimed the election was rigged. Spent months propagating the Big Lie which he continues to do to this day. Instigated the January 6th insurrection with malice afore thought and tried to get the Vice President lynched because he wouldn’t knuckle under.

It was only through the courageous efforts of the Vice President and the majority of Congress that things weren’t worse.

Donald Trump should be in prison right now and for some reason that I find unimaginable about half the country is going to vote for this asshole again.

And that has nothing to do with the truth of the statement. Trump is a threat to democracy. He proved that by lying and inciting violence during an attempted coup.

He lies all the time, he uses the same terminology as the Nazi’s and he vilifies black, brown, and asian people. That is the profile he is projecting. Maybe it’s the Republican party that needs a new candidate.
