Trump also claims to weigh 215. I’ll put both statements in the same category - if he even said what you claim. I’ve not seen anywhere that he’s made that statement. What he has said is that he believes were he to agree to dropout the prosecutions would disappear. Not even close to the same thing.

... Yes, He's said that a few times at the rallys.
He also has stated that "Officials" had told Him that
if He decided NOT to run - the prosecutions would
come to a halt. ... Trump hasn't said - as of yet that
I have heard - WHICH "officials" told Him that.
IF they were DNC officials, Republicans, or somehow
connected to the FBI/DOJ.
Reckon we'll just have to take Trump's word for it.

But the hypothetical question is surely a moot point.
Trump had NO interest in dropping out.

I agree that Don the conman won’t drop out of the race for the reasons I listed in post #8.

I would also suggest that it is quite foolish to take Trump’s word about anything. A bigger liar and grifter would be difficult to find.

So you admit that you posted a lie. Or rather a misstatement. Or something you made up. You went from Trump said to maybe someone said. You should really stop lying. No one on this forum with a modicum of good sense believes anything you post or anything Trump claims.

... No, it's the other way. ... YOU called me a liar, then
back-pedaled in your usual manner.

I made no lie - no mis-statement. ... THAT is what TRUMP said.
How can you continue to be so WRONG??

No I told you no such offer was made and that Trump if Trump said it he was lying. Then you said these other people, not the DOJ, made the offer and you claim that he repeated it. I told you what he actually said - that he believed that would happen, not that anyone actually said that to him.

Yes, you’re a liar.

... Wrong - I didn't say WHO made the offour to Trump.
It may have been the DOJ - I'm not certain - and neither are you.

YOU need not tell me what Trump said - as I know what He said
- as I heard him say it. So, I feel if anybody's lying here,
you'll want to look in the mirror. Yer-own mirror.

And - again - as the thread topic - the question is moot
because Trump is NOT going to drop out - and never was.
No matter who made what offours to Him.

No one made the offer to him. Never have never will.

This will be strongly discouraged and swift effort will be made to put it to rest. Probably not, because he's a narcissist. He'd be wise to, if he could make that choice now, because Kamala's probably going to win. Earlier this year polls showed a generic Democrat handily beating Trump and a generic Republican handily beating Biden. Democrats got the message and the Republicans didn't. If Trump were a true Republican and if implementing his party's platform were his first priority, he would have stepped aside and let someone else run. And then if he were wise, made an off-the-record deal for a pardon if he publicly supported the Republican candidate. I think they were all willing to pardon him anyway, or at least Nikki Hailey was.

Can't pardon for state crimes. So it would have to be a blanket pardon agreement from all angles. He would still have to pay the fraud and rape/defamation. But for a supposed billionaire facing prison that should be no problem.
