This obviously is a sensitive topic and seems to be resurrected quite often.

The market will dictate if their phone rings. If their phone rings and they can collect a deposit, good for them. Currently it's a provider market. The economy has soaked up providers who would have never been providers and they now how civi jobs. When the economy changes more providers will return which means stable prices.

Me personally, there are way too many flakes in the hobby to give a deposit. If I were to call a new provider to me and she advised she requires a deposit I would politely decline.

I have been around the hobby for 10+ years and have long list of regulars who are more than happy to see me without a deposit. However, I have a reputation of being fair and showing up.

Over the last three weeks I have been ripped off by three different folks.

Two times I showed up and I was physically threatened by them type gold teeth pimps with prison neck and face tattoos. They are the type folks you look at and can tell they were born dumb AF.

The third time I ran because she was one of them disgusting ghetto AF type people. She was as big as a baby whale. The room reeked of Black N Mild cigars and I wanted to puke.

Them folks are all lucky I didn't call the POPO because the law of averages pretty much means them people all have warrants or are on parole.

I understand that some types of people are genetically wired to be lazy, criminals, and make excuses for their worthless existence.

It happens all of the time and both parties are happy.

Not to suggest that some managers wouldn't require deposits but why would they? None of the above reference to high end sex workers, that I knew of, had any type of management.

Years ago, I tried asking for deposits and although I had work friends who got them regularly, just never had clients who do that and certainly my regular friends (who are 99% of my biz) do not.

So I quit even trying. Guess I appeal to a different client but who knows?

My manager? You sound dumb as hell. I believe I'm way to old to have a manager. Clients cancel. So why would I use my money to go thousands of miles to get cancelled on? Grow up and try to figure out why you on a board disrespectful to people you spend your money on for no reason. It's crazy that you down the same people You associate with. The high end ladies are totally different than a regular prostitutes.

$15,000 is way out of my budget but if it wasn't I wouldn't have a problem sending a deposit as long as she was white, Hispanic or Asian.
