Neither has Biden nor Klobuchar put up any of their money. Has nothing to do with socialism. And the candidates who have spent their own money big time (Steyer and Bloomberg) are being accused of buying the election.
Trump, Bloomberg and Steyer are RICH. My net worth is over a million but in no way do I consider myself "rich". Sanders' net worth is about $2 million. Well off but not in the same category as the other three.

The game plan is to keep the battleground states and pick up Minnasota and N.H. It will be interesting to see how things play out with Bernie. The vultures have started to circle Bernie so now every word that comes out of his mouth will be dissected. Judging from the 60 Minute interview where he could not give a price tag for his plans for America - it's gonna get ugly.

I tend to ignore polls that are not at the state level.
The odds are on Trump's side. If I had to guess right now, I would say he will be reelected, but there is a long way to go until November 3rd. As I said previously, Trump is at his apex
popularity-wise right now. You cite one poll and I cite the ones that have him trailing in Michigan and Pennsylvania and in a tight race in 4 other key battleground states. He is still underwater in popularity at the national level and in the key battleground states. New poll in Virginia has Trump way behind all Democrats.
So do you think he will win more or less electoral votes than in 2016? If more, what additonal states will he win?

I agree and that is the only reason to need a gun although I will add ' for sport' for those who like to dress up in camouflage, hide in huts and bushes and jump up and down excited for killing Bambi driving up I-35 with a carcass in the bed of the truck proud of themselves. I guess one does need to kill to eat but for crying out loud must it be Bambi?? Why not just shoot an old dying animal if the only intent is to kill. Pistols, rifles, shotguns etc. is all one needs to defend their home as the founding fathers wanted.
As to Bernie, good luck to him if he makes it to the finish line and if he isn't screwed by the Super delegates...Too many unknowns with this guy, at least with Trump what you see is what you get. Bernie won't get shit done with gun control. Climate change can wait four more years in the big picture of time. I see no reason to vote Trump out unless there is a reason. What has he really done wrong the last few years to warrant his removal?
I am sure one can make a case the sky is falling and Mr. and Mrs. Smith and their children on Main Street in AnyCity, PA or AnyTown, OH or AnyVillage, WI are starving, eating cans of tuna fish and drinking contaminated water just to make a case to boot the guy from office. Let's see what the white suburban women do this time. I bet they go right back to the booth and cast their votes for Donald J Trump again
My only question is what will I do on election night come 11 PM when the race is over before it even crosses the Mississippi River... On second thought I will probably be in some German brothel, only guns being fired will be ' DNA squirt guns ' ; as God intended; multiple rounds wel-cumed and encouraged
I guess there is one reason I want Bernie to get the nomination. I am a big fan of Larry David and I would greatly welcome him as Bernie in to my living room every Saturday night for SNL.
And I won't have to worry about him bringing any worthless pieces of metal called ' a gun' in to my house hiding behind some hogwash ' right to defend' clause or even worse a sick spin blaming ' mental illness.' What bullshit..

Obviously that is the "game plan" for Republicans. And the "game plan" for Democrats is to win back Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, Florida and Ohio. Three of five will do it. Possibly turn Arizona. The problem is whether or not it is realistic or not. Michigan right now is leaning blue. Minnesota, although polls are not too recent, is strong blue. Unsure about NH but if Sanders is the nominee, it is doubtful NH will turn red.
Yes Sanders has to do a better job of backing his proposals up with facts. Trump made many, many promises to the American people that he has not met. Mexico will pay for the wall. He would erase the deficit in 8 years. Obamacare would be repealed and replaced. His tax plan would benefit the middle class over the upper class. And, if you like, we can get into the thousands of lies/misstatements of the truth that Trump has made since in office.
I'm sure that Repulicans will hammer the socialism threat endlessly if Sanders is the nominee. Even if he isn't, Repulicans will cast that shadow over any Democratic nominee. Shows how stupid Repbulicans can be if they think Medicare for All is all that socialism is about.

Very nice post. I met you once quite a while ago at Cool River.
I just don't like Trump as a person. If one of my children had the character of Donald Trump I would disown him/her.
We can argue the point ad infinitum but when you examine Trump's record there are few positives in my opinion.
Many major broken promises. No, the sky is not falling but many are no better off financially than they were when Trump took office. I know I am not. Tariffs are hurting me and every other person in this country. I worry more today about traveling abroad, which I do frequently, because the only countries where we have improved relationships since Trump took office are Saudi Arabia and Israel. We have immigration plans that have done away with accepting those that really need to emigrate to this country. Instead we are accepting well-off, highly educated, English-speaking WHITE people only. There is no Republican plan to fix health care in this country, the #1 concern among voters.
Meanwhile, Trump and his colleagues are going office-to-office purging those who have been negative towards him in any way. For those who think Trump may have over-stepped the authority of the office of POTUS since January 2017, just wait until he doesn't have reelection to worry about.

He was elected to the Senate with the backing of the NRA. He voted against background checks.
When he says he has an anti-gun voting record what does that mean when he's voted against background checks and had the endorsement of the NRA?
Bernie is all over the place because he's changed positions on everything when he needed too.
No one knows what his real ideology is or if he even has one, but his current positions will guaranteed he gets the nomination.
That makes him a winner.

Bernie is anti-gun. Recently came out in support of repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), which he voted for in 2005 or so. Remember that Bernie comes from a very pro 2nd amendment state - so he spouted a different version to attain and retain his seat there.
Vermont is a no permit open and concealed carry state, no training certificate required, no registry, no requirement to attempt escape first, no castle doctrine (but almost always rule in favor of homeowners standing their ground). Pretty sure they added private sales background checks in 2018.
Refresher, the 2nd amendment has only a single quantifier and it ain't for hunting or self defense or for background checking or for any specific type of firearm - Shall not be infringed is what it says.
Does anyone honestly believe a Socialist wants an armed citizenry?!?

I have been to China which is definitely Communism and to compare what Sanders preaches vs, Communism is idiotic.
Sanders does not even qualify as a true Socialist, and that is why he does not call himself such.

Oh I know the difference. But most Americans do not. So that will work in Trumps favor. Remember - he calls himself a Democratic Socialist. Nobody hears the word Democrat -- all they hear is Socialist. I see a red scare as part of Trumps strategy. It will be easy pickins to tear Bernie apart. Hell, he's already doing it himself. His comments about Cuba does not go over well with Florida.
