I'm not sure how that addresses the issue - hiding p4p expenditures from a spouse or SO. It's not about budgeting, or the general inability to manage money. I pay for damn near everything by credit card, and pay it off every month without exception. But if I started paying cash for everything so I could keep a little on the side for p4p, that would be as suspicious to my SO as writing a check to "Hillary Hooker, for services rendered."

Pesci (Hand on gun) No I don't. Tell me. Please explain to me exactly WHAT THE FUCK you mean?

Dig stuff out you have not seen in years and sell it on EBAY. Create your hobby account via paypal.

Howdy, Folks!

Better yet - don't get married, and avoid the whole mess.

" Honey, you would not believe it, but my ID was stolen today!! Fortunately they were only able to get $300!"

Use wisely. This approach will not work more than 8 - 10 times.

If you start spending cash for everything, what your SO will see as itemized purchases on credit card statements become lump sum amounts of withdrawals from ATMs. It's easier to hide a few hundred upswing or downswing out of one nebulous amount compared to an itemized list delivered to her (e)mail box.

This is proof positive that marriage is like having a prison guard watching over your every move. No thank you very much.
If you're willing to go through this much for a piece of outside ass do you really want to be married?

This is a very odd place to be judgmental about the lives of others!

AMEN TO THAT VYT!

I find it amazing that folks would use THIS forum to comment on the morality of others. But at least it isn't name calling!

I don't really see how that can be perceived as judgmental of the man even remotely?
I was very clearly addressing the confinement of marriage and whether it is worth all the hassle. Where in that statement is there ANY indication whatsoever of judging the man? Seems like a bit of a stretch.

Wasn't saying you were judging the man -- and my post wasn't aimed at you in particular, you weren't the only one to say "Married? WTF, dude..."

It's a common argument on these boards and one that always amuses me!

You are right. That is what you were addressing, however, that is not the topic of this thread. If you guys want to debate the merits or stupidity of the institution of marriage as it relates to hobbying, then start your own thread on that topic. This thread is really relevant to a lot of hobbiests here so lets get creative and devious and help our brothers out!!!

Back to our regularly scheduled topic.
