Was the provider rude? Did she respond to a message you sent or text you out of the blue talking sh*t?
Maybe she was curious as to if she'd done something wrong personally to cause the cancellation and wanted to correct the issue.
Either way, if the two of you had a great time together I wouldn't read too much into it maybe you should talk to her about it?
Just some thoughts (:

I'd say she shouldn't have called you out because it's bad for business. Heck, she could have even responded in a less assertive manner and worked something out.
That said, reading your ISOs I would have assumed it wasn't about budget as well. If you'd put a rate in there below hers, and preferably just explained something came up and your budget changed, it would be different. But an ISO looking for an hour, preferably with greek, doesn't scream financial crisis.

+1
AK, like your advice.
OP, you kinda messed up, but it's not a big deal.
Kudos to her for contacting you. Communication is a good thing, so her reaching out to you is a positive. At some level she cares. Self improvement, she likes you, good business sense, whatever... its a positive.
Like AK said, if you are still interested be open about it and should work out.

This isn't dating, its pay for play. He gave advanced notice and that is all that needs to be discussed. His money, his choice and there shouldn't be any need to elaborate.

And a lot of things shouldn't "need" to be done.
But, the difference is between doing what needs done and what's right.

Exactly. He wanted to see her a second time. She was willing. Sounds like they should still be doing business.
Based on his post, he could have told her he was facing a short fall and seen how she reacted. She could have reacted to his cancellation by asking if there was an issue. Better communications from both sides would give a better chance of both sides being happy with the outcome.
Again, based on his post, I don't see any major issue here. He should contact her and work it out if he wants to see her again. I don't think anyone did anything "wrong". Just maybe a little lack of thinking out how actions and words might be perceived by both sides

Oh please....it's a kick in the face to the Lady. I see no other way to slice it. The ISO was a cheap shot across the bow. First of all, don't freaking lie. I've been in the same boat, we all have, of being short of disposable funds. The courtesy was missed by giving her first option to pass if you didn't have the chingalinga. You assumed she would but she maybe she would have not, but you ended any discussion with the ISO. At least you would have given her the option, and she would know the real reason instead of thinking that somehow she wasn't desirable.

She wasn't desirable? This is P4P not a romance, OP gave plenty of notice and decided he wanted cheaper pussy, it's his option to decide where his money goes not ours.

that's too easy a summary.. she may have been insulted at a lower offer, refused, and started talking smack in the Ladies Lounge.. we don't know.. beyond common courtesy, nobody owes anyone their business. I agree that the ISO was not the best avenue, he should have contacted individual lady's in private, if only to avoid the appearance of impropriety.
which goes back to common courtesy.

Sounds to me like it was a plan to make an appointment. No actual appointment set. Think about it this way, had either one of them not showed and claimed the other pulled a NC/NS, would you feel that is justified?

"I'm sorry, an unexpected expense came up this week and I now only have $100 available to play with this weekend. I wouldn't presume to ask you to lower your rate, but I don't often have this window of opportunity, so, if you're not able to make an exception, I'll need to cancel our appointment and look for a provider in another price range. If that's the case, I hope we can meet some other time!"
A nice note like that would avoid all of this, IMO.
